Lovely shots, Stuart - do you know why the 809 NAS machine was jacked up?

A real shame that TBAG are on the look out for new premises.

There are 22 public service obligation air routes in the UK. Loganair operate 12, AirTask (Hebridean Air Services) hold eight, while Flybe and Eastern Airways each have one.

Given the airspace restrictions already placed on Qatari registered aircraft, they don't have a great deal of choice.

Re: 2019 Show dates

Makes sense to me. How many airshow fans dont appreciate decent food? Some lovely German grub on an Autumn's day. Throw in some classic Porsche, Mercedes in the grounds etc , Junkers 52 maybe? I realise it'd cost a fair bit, but they could always go a little bit mad and get the Junkers F.13 replica...

Westland Wasp HAS.1B G-BYCX/92 and Percival Provost G-MOOS/XF690 are recent confirmations for the Navy Wings Night Photocall on 25th October. Are there likely to be engine runs at the Navy Wings Photocall? We're doing everything we can to make it possible for aircraft to run engines, and are still a...

Re: Royal Navy International Air Day 2019

Not sure if Yeovilton/RNIAD do themes, but a '100 years of Eric Brown' event featuring aircraft that he flew would offer an interesting and diverse Navy-heavy display which charts some quite considerable evolutionary jumps in aviation history. Looking through the rather expansive list, there's plent...

That Harrier GR9 is now at Hendon.

However, they presently have another GR.9, ZD465/55, on-site as it travelled up from HMS Sultan for the airshow back in June.

Re: Rabbiting Chris Evans!

I can listen to Chris Evans in small doses - slightly larger than the ones where I can listen to Chris Moyles!! The biggest abortion on R2 is definitely putting Jo Whiley on with Simon Mayo - there is a definite lack of chemistry in that twosome, and it has completely wrecked the “drive time” show ...

RAF Fairford has been a USAF station since 1950 and, between 1978 and 1990, was home to the 11th Strategic Group and KC-135s, initially on rotation before the 11th SG received their own aircraft in 1979. The recently announced investment in the airfield's infrastructure would suggest that the base c...
