Re: Duxford Flying Finale Saturday 8th October

Flying display was to the best standard

Perhaps the display team could also be in charge of parking (preferably near the land warfare museum)

My thanks to the drivers who allowed polite filtering in the car park.

Re: Funeral arrangements

C III might wish to have a diamond 9 over the Palace after his visit to Westminster Abbey. He will have some say in the matter. ;) The Reds will get back to form May I suggest that my post(s) are read in context with attention paid to the last line? As copied above. Speculation is allowed if my unde...

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ 🌻 πŸ‘» FYI The head of the Royal Air Force has promised to address concerns raised about the service's culture "as a priority". The good news is the announcement that they are due back in the UK today.

As a fan since Culdrose, 1966 I wish them ALL good fortune for this season.

Doesn't it depend upon your attitude to life? Three in the air at one time, makes a cup half full at a time when we are nearing a desert Keep snapping whilst you can. (I did try for a vic formation but the little devils wouldn't stay in place)

Re: IMPORTANT - Future of UKAR

FYI. I hope this post will be of use to those making decisions. So, I powered up my tablet, went to airshows and started skimming through to find info about next year's airshows. I take a look at this site perhaps once or twice a week at this time of year, more frequently just prior to the airshow s...

My guess would be F-35 "A" version. The 'a' cannot be seen due to the stealth capability.

Re: RAF Scampton Air Show 2017

To expand on my above rumour. Rhymes Field does not enter into the equation. Please consult a map. There is a crash gate at the 04 end, to the east of the runway centreline. If a line is drawn from there to the A1500 (ie perpendicular to the road) the field(s) to the east of the line would be the we...

This thread seems to dying for wont of a rumour or two, so I thought to start one myself. The owner of the field at the 04 end is contemplating opening the field(s) for parking. Access/egress from the A1500. The field owner at the other end has not yet considered the possible use if his field(s). T...

Anyone recall Sgt. Braddock in the Rover?

Good luck with the display.

Re: Poll: Reasons why YOU chose to give Duxford a miss

I could have re-organised a major gardening project to allow time this w/end but being "forced" to go into the airfield by the field closures was the deciding factor. So one ticket income lost to the IWM. Death or injury by display aircraft doesn't concern me as there seems to be more like...

A light aircraft at about 2000' has just finished off a series of " high energy manoeuvres " with a roll.

Only over a small group of houses called Langham. Safety first.

Dan, your post reminds me of the story told to me by a colleague in the BC forest. We were cutting our way to a crash site and I asked about bears. "It's ok, I'm fitter than you & can run faster! ". Just wait until you come up against a 'bored security man in a high visibility jacket' ...
