At midday when the reds were due to display it clear with blue skies. Apparently they couldn't take off because of a wet runway at Blackpool. They managed to fly later so why not display?

This was my first ever RIAT and went on Friday and Saturday and had a ball. The weather on Friday was insane but still enjoyed every moment. This was my first ever RIAT and yes the rain was pretty bad but still enjoyed myself and managed to get some photos as well. It was quite good to see some of the aircraft still do their displays considering the conditions. Kudos to everyone involved.

Will have to see what tomorrow brings!

What's the betting for Saturday? Travelling down Friday PM and staying nearby- forecast is different depending which weather app you look at. First RIAT so will be seriously gutted if nothing is flying!! It's the wind gusts on the Saturday that seems to one of the main problems - Honestly not sure ...

£65 per person even with the early bird discount so looking to over £70 once that ends.

Friday prices have gone up as well. The prices for the viewing village seem to have had an increase as well compared to this year.

Looks like lightning has made a return on the BBC forecasts for Saturday - Sunday is looking the best so far. But again, this keeps changing.

Hopefully the whole weekend isn't too bad!

For someone who is going to RIAT for the first time - What typically happens when it rains? I expect a bunch of the flying schedule gets cancelled? At least there is static on the ground to have a look at.

The BBC were showing Saturday to looking somewhat better with some sun and lower rain chances earlier this morning but seems like it has changed again.

Fingers crossed for some good news.
