Re: Silver Jubilee Phantoms

Sorry to interrupt this post but in 1977 I lived at Forres near Kinloss, my dad was in the RAF and I was a 15 year old air cadet, I quite often phoned Kinloss Ops myself and arranged for flights I phoned up on 28th of July 77 and was given a flight on the photographic Nimrod for the Silver Jubilee e...

Re: food outlets

There is some good quality stuff for sale, but it is an ABSOLUTE rip off. The pork/stuffing baguettes are usually spot on .... just have £7ish handy lol I know it is expensive but you have to realise how much these sellers have to pay for their pitches, No I'm not a food seller either, I did used t...

Nimrod model

Hi folks
Would anyone be interested in building my Airfix Nimrod kit for me for a fee of course, I have had the kit for ages but just do not have the time or the skill to build it like a lot of you can do.
Fingers crossed
Regards
Bill

Re: Airfix 1/48 scale Jaguar

Cracking job looks really good. My only observation is that the Additional Intake doors the two either side of the main intake would normally be closed ie flush if the aircraft is parked, if it had a pilot or ground crew in it it could potentially have its engines running while its parked which is t...

Very good, I would have loved to do a stint on a carrier, I suppose if I had stayed on Harriers after my time at Saint Athan I might have been one of the chosen few

Re: Please can You help with 216 Sqn Buccaneer / Hunter pics

Sorry for the late reply but I'm new here I seem to remember I saw this particular clip on my fitters course and yes I have tried to find it as well. The American saying "Hey if you want to see something good go outside" and "how can we shoot these guys down" seems to stick in mi...

Re: Marham 1993 (more added)

Nice pictures, I was there and was part of the team lining up the Tornado's. One of my memories of this was lining up the centre aircraft so the pitot tube pointed directly at where Queeny would be standing, me in overalls and the OIC went to the stand to check we had lined it up correctly while pra...
