I also saw something last night that suggested he was a massive racist who tried to block the first black astronauts, so add that to the list I guess.

Re: Chuck Yeager

He outright called Eric Brown a fraud and a liar and said that the UK contributed nothing to the war. Hard to find respect for him, to be honest.

https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-24 What's interesting? Why do we find particular planes interesting over others? Why do we like aviation full stop? We make an absolute hash of answering these questions and more in episode 24 where we try and work out exactly what creates interest for ...

We're going on a holiday this week! https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-23 At exactly the time when people are really feeling the lack of going on holiday we thought it'd be a good idea to bring it all up again. We're chatting about the hobby overseas this week, especially the foreign air...

I'm really glad to see the memories its brought up for you - it was very cool hearing Gordon talk about Leuchars which is a show that always seemed to garner such huge praise and one I always wish I'd been able to go to. It's awesome that the podcast has prompted you to get a slide scanner too! Can'...

https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-21 This week we break out the bagpipes and get a haggis on the stove as we're talking about Scottish airshows with UKAR's own Gordon Duncan. He takes us dirty southerners through the legacy of the famous Leuchars airshow, what made that show so special...

Re: Tallboy Bomb Found & Detonated in Poland

They found it when dredging the canal bed, so the RAF have saved them a bit of time in that regard with the crater this will have left in the canal bed along with the ones made 75 years earlier. The Tallboy raid on the Lutzow was filmed from a Mosquito, and can be found on Youtube, and if you look ...

https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-20 UKAR's very own Andy Evans (boff180) joins us this week! Andy has volunteered at Scampton Airshow and RIAT the last few years and we picked his brains about what that involves. We also take the opportunity, as if we needed it, to reminisce in RIAT m...

So far Horizon - Zero Dawn has had a bit a pasting on the PC, apparently it's full of bugs. Probably best to hold off until it's been patched.
Yeah i was surprised to see the reviews considering what a masterpiece it's considered on PS4. One of the best of the generation

I actually got an old but seemingly working Smena 8M off eBay last week. I've never used film before and really fancy trying my hand at it. Granted, an old, 70s Soviet camera might not be the ideal learning tool but I bet it's fun enough. Can't wait to use up my film quicker than I realise!

I'm going again, one additional thing to look out for around 5pm if it sticks to it's schedule is the An.225 going Prestwick to Chateauroux.
Dare I suggest the largest aircraft ever seen at old Warden even if it's at 30000ft!!
No way OW can convince Antonov Airlines for a cheeky flypast? 😂
