Re: F-35 Ooops?

DanL and I had a presentation/lecture from a guy who was apparently the chief engineer on the fan system after I poo-poo'd the aircraft to him (not knowing who he was at the time) the week before. It was about the fan system and how it can deflect FOD and stuff, it was very interesting.

Developed from the Sharp Nemesis NXT kit-built Sport class racer (one of which was in the running at Reno a couple of months ago). Very odd that isn't mentioned.
Apparently more than a few people have made the weird assumption that it's a re-engined Spitfire...

Zagreb Airport October 2021

Spent a few days in Zagreb last month, including two(ish) days at the fence with Chris Lofting. Was lucky to see two QRA scrambles (one actually real? Not sure) and ended it with the tidy bonus of a Slovenian Cougar. Sadly I didn't get to see any two-seaters which I was especially after! 1# https://...

We're going on a holiday this week! https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-23 At exactly the time when people are really feeling the lack of going on holiday we thought it'd be a good idea to bring it all up again. We're chatting about the hobby overseas this week, especially the foreign air...

I'm really glad to see the memories its brought up for you - it was very cool hearing Gordon talk about Leuchars which is a show that always seemed to garner such huge praise and one I always wish I'd been able to go to. It's awesome that the podcast has prompted you to get a slide scanner too! Can'...

https://soundcloud.com/ukairshowreview/episode-21 This week we break out the bagpipes and get a haggis on the stove as we're talking about Scottish airshows with UKAR's own Gordon Duncan. He takes us dirty southerners through the legacy of the famous Leuchars airshow, what made that show so special...

Re: Tallboy Bomb Found & Detonated in Poland

They found it when dredging the canal bed, so the RAF have saved them a bit of time in that regard with the crater this will have left in the canal bed along with the ones made 75 years earlier. The Tallboy raid on the Lutzow was filmed from a Mosquito, and can be found on Youtube, and if you look ...

So far Horizon - Zero Dawn has had a bit a pasting on the PC, apparently it's full of bugs. Probably best to hold off until it's been patched.
Yeah i was surprised to see the reviews considering what a masterpiece it's considered on PS4. One of the best of the generation

Re: The UK Airshow Review Podcast

I actually got an old but seemingly working Smena 8M off eBay last week. I've never used film before and really fancy trying my hand at it. Granted, an old, 70s Soviet camera might not be the ideal learning tool but I bet it's fun enough. Can't wait to use up my film quicker than I realise!
