Re: RIAT 2020
I don't see a problem with people discussing what impact CV19 might have on RIAT, in the RIAT section unless the UKAR Admin tell us otherwise. Absolutely - it’s undoubtedly the number one priority at DBH, and the main issue regarding all large events this summer. Why on earth wouldn’t we talk about...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
From ITV :- "People over 70 will be instructed by the government to stay in strict isolation at home or in care homes for four months, under a "wartime-style" mobilisation effort by the government likely to be enforced within the next 20 days." No mention in the article of "...

Perhaps you could have asked them how much it costs them to respond to flippant FOI requests which have no journalistic purpose. Most pointless post of the day (so far)... obviously apart from this one Every little thing the reflex does Leaves you answered with a question mark I'll let myself out...

Based at SWAM, St Athan. Doesn't look like it's flying anywhere soon.

Re: RIAT 2019
Just looked at the current RIAT website and cant see any mention of the £5 off next years ticket. Having spent £190 this year on 2x Friday tickets plus rear of the Viewing Village Grandstand plus credit card rip off tax...and then didn't attend...I'd like to see if I can reduce my spend for next ye...

Re: RIAT 2019
"Its a shame because the Friday should be more about attracting families and kids. " If anyone can show me another big weekday event run in term time aimed at "families and kids", I would be interested. It’s hardly unique. Many festivals are very family friendly, including Latit...

Re: BBC Planespotting live....
A programme of this nature is there to educate - if those tasked with relaying the information to the audience can’t tell a Spitfire from a Lysander, it’s failing on a pretty basic level IMO. You expect teachers to know what they’re talking about, not to have a stab in the dark because it’s got a p...

Re: Exiting car parks blue or green?
On Sunday morning we approached the Blue car parks from Kempsford, but there was no marshal to steer us into the appropriate car park, culminating in a whole line of traffic coming to a dead end and doubling back on itself on a single track road. Eventually the marshal turned up, bacon butty in hand...

Re: RIAT 2019
harking and play it cool , glad you both got to see the B-52 depart , I should have had a little more faith that it wouldn't sneak out 'out of hours'. Thanks Habu, mind you it was looking touch and go as to whether it would depart before we got turfed out! Never seen so many people leave P&V (W...

Re: RIAT 2019
Given that weather issues are something that seem to happen quite regularly (I seem to remember something similar in 2017) it makes me wonder why DBH don't have a poor weather contingency plan. This might just be aircraft taking off, flying a circuit and landing, but that would still be better than...

Re: RIAT 2019
And it was worth waiting until nearly 17:00hrs for the B-52to depart. Highlight of the weekend for me! Just hope I’ve got all those bloody tiny bugs off my skin, hair, bags, camera... Damm , I waited till about 4.20 , figuring they'd chuck us out at half past . Did they keep the P&V open or did...

Thanks Andy, yes more than aware of that, and also of the fact that different people in the same car park can have wildly different waiting times, but just wanted to know people’s thoughts of today’s exit. If you were at the far end of red then I know there were people queuing there before I got to...

Re: RIAT 2019
For the first time I didn’t go on the Saturday, so just Sunday/Monday for us this year. We all came away yesterday rather underwhelmed - some great displays for sure, but too much that just didn’t do it for me. The Mig 21 display was a surprise - he certainly put that through its paces, and great to...
