This week's Lakenheath flying
Hello everyone. I am thinking about popping to Lakenheath tomorrow as I have annual leave to use. Could any locals or others who have been this week, inform me of general flying times this week, both for F-35s and F-15s. Thanks in advance, Simon.

Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread
From the FB post - Weekly updates start next Thursday :) Throughout the winter, all our staff at Douglas Bader House have been working hard to ensure we deliver a fantastic RIAT 2023 for you all. Next week, we will begin our #TakeoffThursday posts announcing the aircraft which are confirmed for dis...

Re: RIAT 2020
I hate to dash anyone's hopes of the show going ahead, but I've been told today by a very reliable source that DBH have told the printing company to halt printing on RIAT 2020 tickets etc.I was browsing the RIAT website today and got the message 'we are not here right now' .I would love RIAT 2020 t...

Re: RIAT 2020
I'm not intending to be a happy clapper/RIAT fanboy or whatever they get called on here. I agree that all the enclosures are a tad pricey! I'd love things to be cheaper, but as someone who takes the family to RIAT, this family enclosure is a day out for the kids, inside a day out for me. We normally...

That's the first time I've ever been called middle class.

Re: RIAT 2020
For the first time since 2010, I don't need the Mrs permission, to book RIAT tickets! I dragged her and the kids along in 2014 to 2018 and normally ask her to book tickets in May/June. She saw the email yesterday about the new family enclosure and told me she will book tickets this weekend. Top stuf...

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2019
Sorry to be "that guy" but, looking at the weather forecast tomorrow, would we imagine most participants will display? I'm taking the family, who aren't chuffed with the prospect of another Duxford washout. Depends on cloud base and visibility. Last year the Saturday was wet but most thin...

Re: How will you be enjoying the show?
Just Totterdown for us this year, Thurs to Mon. It will be the first time we haven't been into the show but we had such a great time at Totterdown last year we decided to give it a miss. On reflection I don't think we'll see the best of the Harriers, F35 and helos so we'll be back in next year. Ric...

Nice update that, hopefully a wide angle lens isn't needed like it was for the last Duxford F-15/Warbird flypast.

Re: RIAT 2019
I agree with harkins its not got that magic touch yet, I go on the Friday for conveinence but this year the price is of a normal day, for a shortened flying display, and less part of the static, I know its for a good cause etc, but I've still to get my ticket, this is normally safe in my grubby han...

Re: Editing software advice?
Thanks guys, I've ended up going with Affinity Photo. I'm just trying to learn how to use it now. A great choice, stick with it. I was a Photoshop Elements user for some 6+ yrs and was shown the fundamentals of Affinity. No turning back, a great, all inclusive programme for under £50. I'm not doing...

Editing software advice?
Hello guys and girls, I think its about time I looked for a better editing software. I've been using Picasa 3 for years, while flirting with the idea of purchasing something better. There are so many types to chose from, with lots of different versions of each type. So rather than risk buying the wr...

Re: Tornado Farewell Tour
Great stuff. Really looking forward to this. I have no idea where to park as i've only been to Marham to view from 24, but I plan to arrive early and see what's about. To see any Tornadoes flying will be a great treat, but 9 in one day... should be great! I've seen on a Facebook group, a local farm...

Re: A380 production to end
From a passenger perspective it may be a bad thing, but for those of us who maintain them we've all breathed a sigh of relief . Hopefully it means my airline won't be getting anymore of the blasted things! Unless they get some second hand ones of course Interesting, are they that bad? Would it be r...

Re: Red Arrows in 2019
I'm looking at the positives in this Red Arrows tour. The UK should support the US airshow scene more often, in my opinion. How much has the ACC sent to the UK in the past 11 seasons, since the RAF last returned the favour?

Hasn't a type of "bird of prey" been trained to take down a drone, or did I dream that?
