Re: Antonov AN30 @ Lakenheath #2

He appears to have deleted his flickr account.

At least there's a good ending to this one. Shame though, I wanted to tear him up before he disappeared. I'll get back under my bridge now and await another reason to post!

Re: Cromer International Norfolk.

Would a genuine member do that? Takes all sorts. I had a 'friend' do that to me on facebook a couple of years back, cropped out my watermark and then denied it! For the record, when a crap photographer steals a decent photographers images, it leaves the decent photographer feeling more than a littl...

Re: Flying Legends 2017

Unless you want them to still be hard banking at 90 degrees whilst on short finals, just to stay airfield-side, aircraft will always be approaching the runway over the M11 at that end. It's unavoidable. The pilot did the smart thing of not attempting to make it to that side. No point when there's a ...

Re: Your favourite image from 2016!

All-in-all, a bit of a crap year. This is probably my favourite, even though there are a few sunlit topsides I'd wanted for ages, that could also qualify. Not technically perfect, but hey, my favourite shots often aren't. https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7244/27407701002_be452a791e_o.jpg

Fly Navy at Old Warden for me. In particular, the Sea Vixen, and TFC beating the place up in spectacular fashion. It was great to see those aircraft away from Duxford, and the pilots looked like they were having a great time, with some precise and spirited flying. 8-point roll from the corsair anyon...

Re: Adding Afterburner effects

Quickest and easiest method, take a memory stick around to his and get copies of his main FSX texture folder, and the entire Iris F-22 folder (found under simobjects/airplanes). Then copy all the contents into your corresponding folders, overwriting when asked. Any new files that you don't have will...

Cheers guys Lovely, Barrie, as per. Though, hopefully the nit-picking will be forgiven, but I think the watermark might be a just tad elaborate (for want of a bettor word) for me. Splendid images, though. Something the rest of us can only dream of. I've never done avian photography, but I might have...

Re: Titchwell, 11/11

Dog walkers......grrrrrr! My friend had stern words with one couple, 'asking' them to keep their dog under control after it scattered a large flock of sanderling, knots and turnstones. Just bloody moronic. That stretch of beach needs some rules, to have dogs kept on leads. I love dogs, but on a rese...

Titchwell, 11/11

Been a while since I was out and about with the camera, so decided to visit Norfolk yesterday. Our initial aim was to find a group of feeding Waxwings to settle down with, but they appeared to have moved on since the Thursday sightings. We then heard about a, Isabelline Wheatear in the area, but upo...

Re: Photo Editing Platform Advice

My case does look like a piece of military-grade hardware! But good looks can be had, especially if you choose to liquid-cool, rather than air, like mine. In fact, there are some downright spectacular cases out there. With hundreds to choose from, you can build a powerhouse of a machine, which also ...

Re: Photo Editing Platform Advice

Hardware-wise, PC all the way. If you're throwing around thousands of images, and the resulting lightroom catalogue, you'll want something with a bit of grunt. I choose to build my own machines, with overclocked CPUs (well cooled), a fair amount of RAM, a decent graphics card, and a variety of diffe...

Oh I so wish my Tom Tom could scan the nearest few miles of roads in my locality, select the 16 biggest threats, and eliminate them for me.

Not sure Swiftcover would be too impressed with my new toy though.
