Re: Worst Airshow

There's usually some good to be found in even the worst-organised, most disappointing, weather-hit etc events and, thinking back, something's pretty much always managed to 'save' them. That said...the 2006 Red Bull Air Race (a 'show of aircraft'...if not technically an airshow) at Longleat would be ...

Fingers crossed he's also acquired a paintbrush and puts it back in Luftwaffe colours.

He's keeping the experimental USAF camo scheme, Paul - at least for now - but adding a smoke system.

Re: Best Airshow That You Have Attended?

Does anybody remember what year the B2 put on a tremendous display at Mildenhall. I remember the weather wasn’t great but the display was something else. I think it may have been 2000. It was indeed 2000 and the same display profile flown at RIAT '99 (my best airshow choice!), opening with a curvin...

I've been a 'fan' since the very beginning and, some years ago now, was a moderator for a time. I still get lots of useful info from the forums even if I hardly ever post these days and would miss UKAR if it was to go for good. Huge thanks to Paul for all he's done over the past 22 years - I genuine...

Awesome - a really smashing collection. Just one correction if I may - the Virgin 747 and Bucc at are Biggin Hill Int. Air Fair 1993, not '88.

The Cranfield A1 Eagle will be on static for this event. G-BCIT? Never knew it was still extant, a real blast from the past that one... The very same. Believe it now sports a slightly odd-looking canopy, possible other mods and a different scheme but still great that it'll be on show this weekend.

Re: Why is the UK Airshow season nearly over already?

I feel as if the loss of the Naughty fields at Duxford has definitely shortened some peoples airshow season. If the naughty fields were still accessible then I'd have another 2 day show, as well as the 3 shows I have remaining. Wow... On top of all the other rubbish in this thread (not just from yo...

Re: Weston Super Mare 2016

It's a real bugbear of mine when shows (particularly official sites) are unable to correctly spell the names of participating aircraft. 'Stamp'? 'Antanov?' Inclined to agree. Also wouldn't make two words of 'seaplane' or hyphenate 'biplane' and some of the designations fall a bit short but I think ...

Meh.......not !! See , bet that surprised some of you. Primarily because I've never seen 'Wings of Storm' , so it'll be interesting to see if they do anything different to other Teams or if it's just 'same old , same old'. Trust me, as long as the "new" team maintain the traditions of the...

Hence why I said the Alouette III was an enthusiast item, to please our enthusiast visitors. For me, speaking personally, I am inspired by a quote f...

Re: New Book -The History of Biggin Hill International Air F

Very kind, Adrian - thank you. You're quite right - the first Air Fair I attended was '84 and I was too young to remember much now. I got the first 20-odd years of the show covered thanks to research (so much of it) and interviews, in the main. I just wish I could have gone to them all! Photo-wise, ...

Likewise but you've certainly made good use of the opportunity - the opening shot's a real peach.
