Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?

Season 2 of The Mandalorian has started, and still continues to deliver. :yahoo:

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

i believe some of the authorities at Lakenheath/Mildenhall had issues with him using his camera to get over the fence and taking video of personnel working on the aircraft etc. So has he been banned outright from streaming at military bases, or is this just a rumour? And doing 80+Mph to get to mild...

Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?

I enjoyed the first episode of the 'new' Spitting Image too.

Good to have it back after so many years, but a shame that it's stuck away on Britbox instead of ITV.

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

He did something like a 9 hour live stream from Cologne last week, being airside at the major cargo hub there. Then he was back and streaming the Lightning and Shackleton engine runs from Gatwick Aviation Museum on Saturday, followed by another Heathrow visit today. You can't argue that he doesn't p...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

Big Jet is at the Gatwick Aviation Museum on Saturday morning, for 'live' EE Lightning and Shackleton engine runs if anyone's interested.

Both of those are loud enough to drown out even Jerry, so might be worth a watch.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Basically we're going to have to suck it up and get on with life, and while we need to be cautious, we simply cannot afford another lockdown the likes of which we had earlier this year. A second wave is absolutely no surprise to me after witnessing the great British morons flouting any kind of socia...

Re: Jet suit paramedic tested in the Lake District

Something like this is definitely worth looking into, although the last time I saw a bloke using the gravity jet pack a couple of years ago, one of the engines blew out and he flipped over and crashed into the sea. (luckily for him) if they can get the reliability sorted it could be a useful tool, a...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

Honestly, why do you all care so much either way? If you like his stuff, watch it, if you don’t, don’t. You could have said the same thing about the Vulcan, but that didn't stop there being multiple threads and hundreds of pages about it! No-one was being forced to give money to that either!...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

Granted, saying he was a key worker in lockdown was pushing it but I recall he was assigned by the Express to film PPE flights on at least one occasion. No idea if that was true but it's what he claimed. There was a post on twitter iirc, where someone grassed him up to the police during lockdown sa...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

So, I just checked out that facebook 'BJTV hate' site again and Jesus H Christ what a bloody car crash that place really is! :see_no_evil: I don't know who runs it, as they hide behind the site name but I'm sure they and most of them posting there must be about 10 years old! Seems they 'hate'...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

He went to Johns field the other week and he will not be welcome again as the field is not insured for private broadcasting. Fair enough. I take it that no other 'live' streamers will be using the field either? Also he was going around saying he was a key worker during lockdown, which he had no rig...

Re: F1 ( and other motorsports ) 2020

Just not at Mugello. I don’t know, I really enjoyed it. It was good to see F1 racing at a ‘new’ track that wasn’t some sanitised autodrome or a lavishly constructed, hugely expensive complex that gets used once a year and then closes down after a few years when F1 leaves. There are dozens of decent...

Thank goodness for Max Verstappen.

Imagine how even more tedious F1 would be if he wasn't around to win the odd race every so often!

Well speaking of 'last flights', the final flight of the Victor was pretty memorable, too...!
Maybe the salmon pink machine could flip flop it's way over the fence in one more 'flight' to freedom if things get too bad.

Be honest how many were asleep till the last few laps? up till then it was a snore fest. Then it all kicked off. Next week will have to be more stops. I literally was snoozing until Ben Edwards woke me up on the last couple of laps, but sadly still not the result I would have liked. It's just a sha...

Well it's probably going to be another Mercedes bore on Sunday again.

Maybe Mad Max or Le Berc can liven things up and take the front row out, but other than that the only hope for anything interesting happening is for it to rain.

Re: BAA retires entire Boeing 747 fleet

The BOAC and Landor jets are currently parked up next to each other at BA Maintenance site at Cardiff airport, having flown down there from LHR as couple of weeks ago, and the Negus scheme 747, is still parked up next to the fence alongside the eastern perimeter road at Heathrow. Just a little corr...

You make the assumption that those people who want to donate to move the VC10 would be willing to make the same donation to move the lightnings. Personally, I will make a good donation to the VC10 fund, but I wont be sorry if those lightnings never see the the light of day again and I certainly won...

Well it's a shame that the rain went around the circuit in Hungary and not directly on it.

It looks like it'll be another Mercedes dominated season, but I just hope Bottas can keep producing the goods else it's going to get real boring real quick.

Re: F1 ( and other motorsports ) 2020

Was thinking how the new F1 season was just more of the same old, same old, but then it actually became very entertaining. The Mercs look way ahead of the pack, but if there's as many incidences as in the first race, then it might not be so bad. Loved that Norris managed to get the fastest lap point...

If he does make a mistake he is the first to say so. Is he though? From what I gather most criticism results in the person responsible being blocked or banned I guess it depends on how you go about correcting him? If you're going to be obnoxious and rant at him for his mistake, then he'd probably g...

No, it's the UK taxpayer that has to pay for it, and besides, the MoD are more than capable of wasting FAR more of the publics' money than this little paint job cost!

Hopefully the second wave will get all these numpties! It seems to me to be quite an awful thing to say to wish that anyone, no matter how foolish, suffer from the virus. It seems to me that if there is a second wave, it will be because of idiots like these and so I would hope they a...
