Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread

Back from the show today, a few thoughts before I go and look at my pictures... Joined the traffic jam to get to the base at 0830. Blue route was carnage, so got shifted on to the green route. Took an hour from Cricklade to being parked up. Could have been worse I suppose! What was painful was the ...

Mine have arrived but a question for Friday with the display finishing at 3 am I likely to see arrivals after the display?
Yes, always worth hanging on after Friday's display, you are very likely to see some arrivals.
Sometimes validations as well!

Re: ADS-B Exchange, larged unfiltered tracking network, sold to private equity firm

It would be grand if JetNet suddenly find themselves with an empty product having spent millions on it - it would be hard to believe they intended to keep it free, after all. What if the £8m paid out was designed to do exactly what it has done, or seems to be doing, ie: create the demise of ADSBX a...

Re: FIA 2022

These new rules regarding flying displays at Farnborough really don't make much sense. The Black Eagles spent all last week practicing at 20min formation display over Farnborough and yet 4 days later, they are only allowed to do a single fly past for the actual airshow. How does that make any sense...

Hmmm, disrespect, is that is a good description of simply pointing out that someone who was paid to be part of a programme was wrong, and respect is a two way street, remember the 'get some time in' comment. Give it a rest mate, are you really arguing with a pilot about how aircraft work? Simple Qu...

Re: Patrouille de France incident (runway overrun?)

Cue CAA/MAA/ RSPCA et al knee-jerk reaction. For all future landings, Best close the M11 at Duxford, the A419 at Fairford, M25 at Heathrow & Gatwick all together! Oh, M27 at Southampton just in case lightning does strike twice? Unless of course this was an 'isolated incident' or God forbid an a...

Agreed, i certainly loved watching them get bombed up, then sit on the pan until early evening, when i'd watch 52's and Bones heading, for some reason, north over Banbury powering for altitude. Quite a thing to watch a Bone with all its candles lit and anti cols on, in the dark going for height. yo...
