Re: Disband BBMF?

Not sure if this has been covered but here is the charge per display asset from 2020. I can’t find anything more recent. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/855969/Information_regarding_the_charges_applicable_for_organisers_of_airshows_or_o...

Re: Zelensky wants aircraft from the UK

Guy cannot even afford a suit so why not send them billions and half our armed forces while our country lurches from one disaster to another. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. To stand up to a bully. I’m sure he can afford a suit, I’m also sure that dressing in 5.11 and remaining tactical is...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

Oh and also the Finn’s managed to make a solo hawk display more exciting than 7 red ones….cough….they were woeful (no exaggerating). Is the RAFAT display actually poor, or is it poor compared to a) their 9 ship display and b) The Black Eagles? I found them very poor at Southport last weekend as wel...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

I look at this thread and the arrivals thread and keep hoping that me working all this weekend and not being able to get any leave is actually a bad dream and I’ll wake up in the Cotswolds.

It’s got to be a bad dream, just got to be.

Really looking forward to this on Saturday. Family day out at the beach with some aeroplanes.

Does anyone know if 121.175 will still be in use for the show as in previous years?

Re: Streamers broadcasting Live Air Traffic Control

Is it really in the public interest to prosecute anyone for these matters? Maybe if you’re hacking into state secrets or otherwise distributing them. But listening to an airband scanner, I’d suggest not. Plus I’d suggest most Police Officers wouldn’t realise it’s an offence to begin a prosecution in...

I enjoyed Corris Corner.

Using what three words. I parked at ///highlight.amended.blunders

And walked to ///hydrant.bowhead.lotteries

Ended up with some lovely shots of C130’s and A400’s coming through there.

Houlton’s own account clearly states that he taxied ML407 into a desk that had been dragged out onto the airfield before the dawn first sortie of D-Day, and damaged the propeller.
One would have to wonder who and why would a desk be dragged onto an active airfield prior to the day of days.
