Another one: today I couldn't find the off-topic forum while I wasn't logged in. Only after logging in it appeared. Is this something new that will be forever or something that went wrong?

Farewell Belgian F-16 Solo

I know F-16s have recently been a weekly topic but.... With confirmation this evening that the Belgian F-16 solo display has officially ended, lets celebrate this stalwart of the European Airshow Scene since 1980 - it leaves a big hole to fill. Belgian Air Force Days 2023 - A bit late

Hi All, Back in September I spent an enjoyable weekend in the company of fellow staffer Gordon (Skyflash) and others in Belgiam for what we hope is not the last Belgian Air Force days. A wonderful venue and scorching heat meant we all enjoyed ourselves immensely even if a few cameras overheated! Ta ...

Central Coast Air Fest 2022

Evening all, Way back in 2022 I spent an enjoyable day at the Central Coast Air Fest - a private show on the California coast that had more military participation than the entire of the Edwards AFB Show the day before! Just a shame it was facing in to the sun! Ta Andy https://live.staticflickr.com/6...

Re: MCAS Miramar Airshow 27-29 September 2024

Looking at some of the pictures from 2022, they are on Alamy if any wants to look, it appears that the tables are infant of the grandstand but there are people standing by the fence line infront of the tables. Are they just people who have stood up from the tables (or even grandstand). ie you have ...

Re: MCAS Miramar Airshow 27-29 September 2024

As with all US shows, you have to pay for a good view otherwise you are off to the left or right of the showground. I would suggest going for one of the tables with an umbrella as you get more space and some shelter - the sun can be epic. Miramar is the biggest US military airshow so the showground ...

Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.

Patrouille Suisse please, oh and a static pair of Swiss F-5E/F-5F would go down nicely. Considering reports 2024 or maybe 2025 are their final ever display seasons - it would be great to see them one last time. The team are only funded to 2025. The Swiss have ruled out re-equipping with F-35s and a...

Is the canyon in use anymore? After the Hornet crash I heard it was now closed? That was literally park up - look over the edge - take a picture.

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

As for the price, we'll it's been discussed on here over and over and over again. If you think it's too much, don't go. Simple. For reference, I wonder what the tickets cost in 2004? 1994? 2004 full price tickets were £35 2024 full price ticket are £76 - 117% change Inflation has been c.102% over t...

Re: South West USA 2024

Luke will likely provide you with more movements as it is none-stop but it will usually only be based aircraft - so F-35, F-16 and the odd Mirage F-1. Flying ends at a lunchtime on a Friday. Yuma can be hit and miss but will provide you with the most variety - especially if an exercise is on - F-5N,...

Re: Sywell Airshow 2024

The proof of the ticket price will be in the pudding, as its a new event I won't pass judgement until it's happened.

I found Flying Legends very poor value for money when I last went, the flying display was just too small and hectic.

I'm looking forward to this show and have my ticket :-)

Re: South West USA 2024

I booked my flights last year - they're now cheaper (ggrrr). Flying in to Phoenix a week or so before Miramar, spending a few days at Luke and the weekend in the area before heading west via Yuma and El Centro before spending the Friday and Saturday at Miramar - probably doing a tourist thing on the...

You do get to park your car in your zone though. Can only attend this show by car (way to be su...

It's a terrible accident, you can see something on the runway at the beginning of the video - just.

A testament to the design of the A350 that everyone on that aircraft got out alive.
