Any comments on traffic and parking please?

I got to the car park just before 7.
Straight in with no issues, except as a blue badge holder I was initially parked in the wrong place. Had no issues getting out at the end, either.

Yes, there's a QR code on your ticket which will be scanned when you enter the event. Display on your device or bring a decent printout. Don't forget your parking pass if travelling by car.

Thanks for confirming

I've bought weekend tickets - is it just a QR code we receive for tickets?

Re: Abingdon Air & Country Show 2023

Every year parking is a shambles at this event, and this year was no exception. I arrived around 830 and was directed to the disabled car park, but the Marshall was not standing directing me. He didn’t seem to see me approach at all and was not standing anywhere near where I needed to park. Rather d...

Re: Headcorn Battle of Britain Airshow

Has to be said the provisions for those with disabilities are appalling. I don’t use a wheelchair but can’t walk far, and having to struggle from the car park with a chair, a stick etc across uneven ground to the showground is grim. On Friday I was told, in error, to park in the Spitfire Enclosure c...

Re: Aero Legends 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Airshow

I was at Headcorn Saturday and Sunday. I was due to go Friday but considering the weather I'm glad I didn't! Pros: Kudos to the pilots for putting on displays in miserable conditions. Cons: This is a personal one, but facilities for those with disabilities are poor compared with Duxford. I arrived l...

I'm still looking forward to 10 October - Showcase Day.

According to an interview with a Duxford staff member on the Planes TV Youtube live stream, it's still going ahead.

Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford

I suspect any replacement will be a more 'generic' style airshow, similar to how they have turned the May show into the Duxford Air Festival. A great shame, and I certainly hope a new replacement venue for Flying Legends is found soon. Wherever it is, I'll be there. What was the reason for changing...

Seems to be the way with Duxford now, exemplified by the disgusting decision to axe concessions for the disabled.

Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford

The IWM press realease is 100% spin. If they do run a similar style of show, I cant see them having the same connections and influence regarding getting special guests in in the way that FL has done over the years. "The glory days are over" is a tempting reaction and...actually , I fear i...

I like Headcorn but it's around a 3 hour drive so I wouldn't want to go on the off chance. Definitely going to the September show there though!

Re: September Air Show 2017

I go to all of the Duxford shows despite living 180 miles away, and this show was exceptional. I never thought I'd get to see 6 Hurricanes flying together, for starters. My personal opinion is that Duxford offers good value for money. I bought early bird disabled tickets for the show, at a cost of a...
