Re: Duxford Flying Finale Saturday 8th October
Partner isn’t feeling great at the mo so we may not be going. Going to see how she is in the morning and I’ll make a decision on whether I’ll go on my own or not if she can’t. Just putting it out there in case anyone is looking for one or possibly two tickets. I’ll post here again in the morning by ...

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2018
Either there’s going to be some big formation displays or the overall flying programme will be longer than normal surely, what with all of that confirmed so far. Looks amazing.

Sounds amazing. Want to hold off to as near as possible to get tickets due to weather. What are the chances of this one selling out way before then?

Re: September Air Show 2017
WW2 Fighters such as P-51 Mustangs or Spitfires, formating with a B17 or a Dakota is more difficult anyway, than say a Lancaster. Due to their slower acceleration. So the fighters, have join up with them at a slower speed. Don't speculate. Rather draconian pruning of what was actually quite an info...

Re: September Air Show 2017
Paying £5 to park, annoying as it is, but that's life. People moan about paying £5 to park, but will quite happily pay £10+, or what ever it is for overpriced food from the vendors once 'on site' You don't have to pay for the overpriced food though. You have no choice with the parking. I would imag...

I just go on Fridays now. Normal price to get in, reasonably quiet, tank bank still open. Got a very good view of the Rafale back in May

Re: TV and Movie Themes played at Airshows?
I remember to this day when I was about 10, at Mildenhall, possibly 99/00, and 'Take my Breath Away' came over the tannoy. Can't remember for the life of me what display was on at the time or even if there was one at all, and it was just being played during a rainy period. All I do remember, is my G...

Re: May Airshow
Did the Spitfire go tech just now? He was up for a while before coming in to do one pass in which it didn't sound too healthy. He landed straight after.

Re: May Airshow
First time I've seen one fly. One of my favourite aircraft. Certainly lived up to the hype. Not as loud as the typhoon but then the display was much better. Doesn't seem to lose so much energy and speed in the turns, thus looking far more like a missile everywhere it went. If it's cloudy on Sunday s...

If anyone gets a heads up when/if the Rafale does a practice display, I'd appreciate it being posted on here. Doesn't look like I'll get a chance to go to the show but have the week off and would love to see it!

As long as the weathers good, the Rafale has made my mind up for me. Any chance it'll practice on the Friday?
Also, what's the deal with motorcycle parking? Is it free and whereabouts is it usually?

Re: Duxford September Airshow 2016- 10th and 11th September
I visited the show on Saturday. As I had to pay in advance, I had no choice. The lesson I have learned (the hard way) is that, as long as there is the advance ticket policy, I will from now on book only the week before the show. Of course the weather is nothing you can blame the organisers for, but...

John Williams concert tickets, Royal Albert Hall for sale x2
Got two tickets for sale as annoyingly can no longer go. Seats are in the second row of the circle where you get an excellent view and the sound is amazing. It's at the Royal Albert Hall, Saturday 1st October at 15:00. All Williams' greatest hits performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. I went...

Re: Duxford September Airshow 2016- 10th and 11th September
Almost booked this last night Despite the poor flying line up for Sunday as my children wanted to see the Red arrows and I though it might be nice for them to see and touch the stuff in the hangers, For some reason I thought children under 16 were free so went to book and came back with a price of ...
