Re: RIAT 2015

For some reason I thought that the RIAT site identified multiple aircraft on the confirmed aircraft page in previous years? With the A-10's and F-15's today they appear to only show as one aircraft each (i.e no x2 on the participation list). Are there any others on the list that are actually appeari...

Re: Foxy lady,is she airworthy still??

Last I heard, she required an engine rebuild, a new aileron making and fitting, and some other bits that needed doing as a result of the winter inspection. AFAIK, they are still hopeful that she will be ready for Yeovilton and they are working hard to get her back in the air, but may be too early to...

Re: RIAT 2015

On the flying front (which is looking a tad thin at the moment), what plausible options are still left available for the display? Given the air forces that have provided items already and those that have declined, I’m struggling to think of anything that could be added – especially in the military ...

Re: RIAT 2015

Honestly, looking at some of the recent posts you would think that the UK debut of the Greek F16, Finnish F-18 (last seen 2009), & RAMEX Delta (first visit), Czech Mil24 (last seen 2006! if 2008 doesn't count), POLAF MIG29 (always worth seeing and by no means a cert) & seeing German & I...

Alternative arrangements such as media accreditation. I still buy a ticket when I have a media pass. How and why?? How? By going on the website and buying one, usually. Why? To support the show! Why should I enjoy it for free when others don't? I'm watching the same thing as them, after all. I know...

Re: RIAT 2015

Disappointed about the Indians, and a real shame about the Czech Gripen. Only one thing for it then, give South Africa or Singapore a call and ask if they can send a couple instead! Ask Singapore for what, Gripens or Su-30s? Because we don't have either. Only F-15s, F-16s and F-5s here, plus a few ...

Russia begins 'massive' air force exercise

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-32877936 Wonder if the planned foward deployment has anything to do with this? I know if it's part of Baltops it's been planned for a while anyway, but I'm guessing US Intelligence would have had an idea that this was coming up, so could they have coincided th...
