Airwolfhound at Little Gransden

Had quite a good day at Little Gransden last weekend. Weather could have been better, and the various items not appearing (Vampire, Lancaster, Puma) were missed, but still a reasonable show all in all. Spent far too much of my memory card on the Wingwalkers, but glad I did......... Anyway, here's so...

Sean Lock, from 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and various other shows, has passed away from cancer today. One of my favourite comedians, only 58 years old :-(

Gigrin Farm - July 2021

My wife and I had a week's holiday up in Anglesey mid-July. On our journey up, we spent a couple of hours at Gigrin Farm to see the Red Kites and Buzzards. A few pics from the afternoon there :- https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51349888121_efd8eb9bab_h.jpg Red Kite by Tim Felce , on Flickr https:...

Duxford Summer Show - Rehearsals Friday 23rd July

Stopped by at Duxford on Friday 23rd July to see some warbird action preparing for the weekend display. I was put off by the weather forecast and didn't do the weekend show, plus I wasn't that impressed by the participation list, although, to be fair, it was great to have some form of air display ge...

RAF Valley, Anglesey - July 2021

The wife and I had a week's holiday up in Anglesey last week. Strict COVID regulations were followed throughout the stay, which was at a hotel we go to fairly regularly at Bull Bay, Amlwch. We stopped off at RAF Valley every afternoon just to relax and watch whatever was around. We mostly hung aroun...

Airwolfhound @ Duxford D-Day Airday - 06/06/21

It was a good day out at Duxford on the 6th June for their D-Day Airday. Some decent weather and some great displays to witness was all very enjoyable. Here is a selection of shots :- https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51245124895_c8c29365fe_h.jpg Spitfire, Mustang & Buchon by Tim Felce , on Fl...

Airwolfhound @ Duxford Air Day - 22/05/21

My better half and I went to Duxford last Saturday for their first Air Day of the 2021 season. Dull conditions, and not a huge selection of aircraft, but it wasn't down as a full airshow so was happy enough with what we saw. A few pics taken, nothing spectacular :- https://live.staticflickr.com/6553...

Airwolfhound @ Shuttleworth's Season Premiere

It was great to be up close to the classic aircraft at Shuttleworth a couple of weekends ago. Thoroughly enjoyable day, even if the weather wasn't brilliant throughout. We got there around 8.40am and sat patiently in the 'stang until it was time to go in. Got a good vantage point, second row on an e...

Re: RIAT 2022 Wishlist Thread

My main wish would be for the show to go ahead without too many changes from 2019 in terms of layout etc. F117 (I know...........) They have been cleared again for AAR recently, so far for who still believes in retirement. And it will help to get one or two over the ocean. Actually I hope the chang...
