Re: Canberra WT327 to the U.K.

WK will never fly again, as VTTS have done a declaration of no flight with the CAA on it, and the tin triangle, the cost implications to reverse this would be phenomenal.

It'll end up on the back of a trailer as a show and tell piece guaranteed.

Re: Canberra WT327 to the U.K.

Thanks for allowing the thread. As Mike says i'm privvy to VTTS information and have shown them up quite a few times in the past (sorry UKAR!).

But yes, WT327 has been purchased by VTTS, unable to confirm if its heading to the UK thought as of yet.

Re: A genuine XH558 question

There was a engine run, with the privileged last month, but other then that, pretty dead in the water.

It also looks like the swift under their care/destruction is being moved / getting ready for transportation out of DSA.

Re: IMPORTANT - Future of UKAR

Firstly, thank you for the suggestion that spelling and grammar standards are reviewed. That will be taken on board and discussed by staff privately. Those standards are in place for a reason, other mediums are rife with poorly and lazily written posts (eg: saw a reply to the Facebook UKAR account ...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

p.s. This post is not out of the blue, we have received complaints over the past day or so. So that narrows it down to 2 people who have had a little cry. The problem is that UKAR is, and i know from personal experience, scared of VTTS as they flount the legal action flag and then things are delete...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

Oh Neverfuel, how we've missed you these past months... Regarding the aircrafts movements... I note the liberal use of the term 'volunteers'... given that everything positive that the trust has achieved these past few years has been undertaken by volunteers... (and I include the planning permission...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

The 30k figure for computers - could that possibly include web hosting fees? I also wonder if fees paid to IT contractors / website designers etc. could that be included under 'computers'? The Web site and hosting would account for very little. The website is actually a very dated design that hadn'...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

ExVulcanGC and XM657, The restoration of the Canberra will follow the Vulcan model of a professional engineering core, but there is greater scope to use volunteers than with XH558 too, which can happen where possible and desirable. Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

Bernarde, you've got a massive axe to grind when it comes to VttS and that's fine, but it's clear to see that if anyone here has been in the employment of VttS, it's most likely to be YOU rather than me. You seem to have all the 'inside' stories that apparently check out, so rather than going round...

Quite frankly I dont care if you do or you don't, I wont loose any sleep over cretins like you and VTTS. They need exposing so no individual fund anymore wage bills or consultancy fee's. She's not the peoples aircraft anymore, just a cash cow to fund the highlife of the idiots at the top. :clown:

Blah, blah, blah... You publicly allege I work for VttS, yet you still haven't given a name. Scared to mention it out loud? Do you no longer trust your 'sauce' is correct? Come on DOH, let's at least hear who you 'think' I am. Are you saying, categorically, that you do not work for, nor have ever w...

but I think it should be remembered that they were operating a multifaceted ( and apparently lucrative ) hangar business with XH558 at its centre. If they establish themselves back in a hangar, this time with brand new facilities, who is to say they can't operate similarly again? Given that nobody ...

How many of those are full-time, part-time, freelance or on retainers? 3. How many contractors and consultants are currently being used by VTST? 4. If there are contr...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

Regards to the previous replies, DSA full passholders are limited to escorting 10 people per pass in non sensitive area's upon all training modules being completed (sensitive being the terminal area/stands) so from CP1, to the test bay in a bus along taxiway alpha they avoid that. VTTS has to pay f...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?

I agree with you in principle - but it seems 655 hasn't got any upcoming events: m I'm sure I read on the VTTS page somewhere that they can only plan their engine run events with limited notice due to what I think they said was 'airport operational reasons'. Which I found strange at the time becaus...
