Re: Malta Airshow 2023
The Sunday flying display was cancelled, anyone know why? We’re thinking about going next year assuming it will be a similar date and we’re just wondering about how logistically fragile the show is. To be fair we’re probably going to Malta anyway but it would be nice to plan dates to catch the show👍...

When did the F86 depart? Didn’t see it today. Sore point :( They had switched from 09 to 27, so I sat at P&V West for ages waiting for it, only to see it join at the northern intersection and take off on 09. I am guessing about 2pm. I had similar disappointment sat in FRIAT, watching the Sea St...

Re: Viewing Village - Garden
I always use the village grandstand on the Saturday, it's great apart from the last few years they don't have anyone policing it so idiots constantly stand at the top of the stairs blocking peoples view (sometimes it's even Cadet volunteers). It's an easy mistake to make but some people are relucta...

Re: Tangerine Fields
Be prepared to yomp with your kit as there are no cars allowed on the tented section. Trolleys are available to help move your kit. There is a bar tent and shower blocks etc so think carefully we’re you’re going to pitch 😉 If you have paid for their pre-pitched tents you can call my advice line 0898...

Re: FRIAT 2023 ticket increases discussion
I missed the opportunity to contribute to the email - thanks for pulling it together Tommy - but having discussed it at home this will probably be our last FRIAT/RIAT for the foreseeable. The astronomical rise not only in the enclosure cost but also the peripherals such as camping on the official si...

I'm also camping in here, arriving on the Friday... We don't have tickets for the Friday show atm, so any ideas what the photography opportunities like from the official campsite? Pretty rubbish if I’m honest To be fair, it's a very short walk down the road to the end of the runway, so there might ...

Re: Tangerine Fields
I am also camping in Tangerine Fields for the first time. Does anyone know if there are battery charging facilities there, electrical sockets etc? My Canon camera simply eats batteries. I can charge two at a time with my inverter, but this means running my car engine for around two hours or more, a...

Re: RIAT 50th Anniversary Book
With the two year hiatus I haven't been around here as I'd probably get told off for my irreverent sense of humour (again) but I'd just like to say that for those of you who haven't got the book yet, it's pretty good and with its weight it also fills in for when I'm pressing wild flowers...

I thought that too, I remember an utterly underwhelming display by some hand-launched air vehicle at Waddington. Whatever it was seemed like a paper airplane on the horizon. I can...

In light of today's announcement of the static C130K, does anyone else miss the old C130 role demo where they used to deploy troops and vehicles onto the airfield? When was the last time they did this kind of thing?

Re: Headcorn Air Show
Those prices are incredible and I thought our £89 for four to camp for the weekend was a steal! It looks like someone from the organisers read this. The price this year is £120 and whilst that is competitive for the four tickets, we went as a pair last year - prepared to take the hit - so this isn'...

As big a long shot as an Iranian F-14 turning up...... .... Friday 17th July is the UK premier of Top Gun 2. Just saying.... What are you thinking? Tom Cruise on static? To be honest I was just thinking big screen for some apres flying entertainment. Now that would score some brownie points!

I guess you'll be ok for an all upfront booking, but I gather that if you wanted to pay in instalments you needed to be registered some time ago. I got my email for making payments yesterday. £270 for almost a newbie Mach 3.
