Usually I use Tamiya or Vallejo acrylic paints, but 2 years ago I received that Xtracrylix set as a gift. Never used Tamiya and Vallejo again.

I have done it in other way, using a polyirethane foam which was brushed with this acrylic paint. Just try it

Hi Brew, that's cool that I use the same method as you. But instead sanding disk I use grit micro finishing cloth (like this one) http://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/micro-finishing-cloth-abrasive-12000-grit-albion-alloys-2068.html.
