Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2017 - [Main Topic]

Whilst I would agree with the remarks above re the need for maximum possible space at the crowd line, a grandstand does not necessarily need to be at crowd centre. Nor, does it have to be right at the very front of the crowdline. Slightly set back allowing room for a few rows of Yams in front would...

My biggest wish is that an RAF Tornado does some sort of flying even if it's just a flypast, that's something; Hopefully it could fit in with the 'Battlefield' Theme Thanks for all your work Peter and Team! Who knows, perhaps there might be a Role Demo anyway? Well given your (wrong) statements on ...

Re: Flying Legends 2017

It's only November and already the mob are closing ranks. Given you see bugger all of the Legends "usual suspects" elsewhere in the UK these days, including most of the home based aircraft (such is life in 2016), a rehash of recent years would be most welcome, ta. Of course, if Little Gra...

An interesting one on the PPRuNe topic , where 'Jay Sata' has posted a direct quote from the HCAP's website : Between October last year and January this year, Tracey Curtis-Taylor led an aviation expedition from the UK to Australia, retracing the route flown by Amy Johnson as tribute to her, and ev...

Re: Kate McWilliams, one of easyJet’s female pilots, holds t

Unlike in TC-T's case , though , the inaccuracy in this instance is primarily down to the airline's PR department. She's the youngest Captain on the Easyjet fleet , and possibly the youngest Captain with a British airline ( although I've seen claims that there have been younger Captains ) so well d...

Re: Kate McWilliams, one of easyJet’s female pilots, holds t

It is still an impressive achievement, and not one that should be taken lightly or denigrated. Most 26-year-olds in 2016 have little or no responsibilities in their working life -if they are even in employment. Well done, Kate. I don't think anyone is denigrating the achievement. Merely questioning...

Kate McWilliams, one of easyJet’s female pilots, has just passed her command course making her the youngest Commercial Airline Captain at just 26 years old. Kate is based at London Gatwick airport where easyJet have over 60 aircraft and operate 106 routes. Her love for aviation began at the young a...

Read into this what you want. From BBC website. Monarch has been majority-owned by investment firm Greybull Capital since 2014, when it bought a 90% stake in the airline. Greybull also bought a division of Tata Steel this year, as well as 140 M Local convenience stores from Morrisons, which subsequ...
