Most persons airlifted on 1 aircraft

With the terrible situation in Afghanistan currently in our minds, i note it is said that 600 persons were loaded and flown on 1 journey out of the country last night.

Looking at the pictures this looks plausible.
Is there an official (or non official) number of souls airlifted on 1 aircraft?

Re: Indian C-17 inbound Brize with special cargo…

These must be the ones i saw in the Indian Air Force Museum 4-5 years back.

Edit: yup, indeed i was right. nice to have them in the UK, shall we send them a 'Dave' by return (nice plastic one on a pole near Preston).

Re: go pro help required

Hi mate,

Ok, i should have xplained the security thing a bit more..... i'd be using it as an internal car 'dash cam' type thing when on trips etc

I wont need anything more than a 4k.

go pro help required

Hi everyone,

I see the need to invest in 2 (yes 2 ) go pro cameras for a mix of uses, from aircraft, to wildlife and security (possibly car use too).

Can anyone advise on models that i may need and how good said models might be please?
Cheers
Dave

Re: Interesting Internet

Friday beer runs happened right up until the closure of Upper Heyford. It was not unknown for a 1-11 with transit tanks (empty) to fly off to Europe (Germany) and return with enough beer etc to keep the squadron happy. Was the very happy recipient of beer that had flown in a 1-11 (even if i never di...

Re: FRIAT price increase

First question is about the legality of raising the price of a service once you have already paid for it. The hotel I have used for about 8 years raised the price for next year by 100% and wanted full payment by May ‘21. So I booked a pub in Cirencester for 3 nights for £150 but had to pay £100 dep...

Texan 2 smoking

Hi everyone, I was on the waterfront just west of Ulverston today around 1.50pm, when i saw my first Texan 2, followed shortly after by my second Texan 2 flying east before turning into the lakes. While the second one took a lazy turn in, the first was more interesting as it turned south, then east ...

Re: 7 Tips on How to Take Great Nature Photo

To be a photographer of a great nature photo? simply take the best you've got equipment wise and hope (rather like being on the loop), for a great day. Ive been to India and photographed tigers in the wild where i could only be 500 metres away and contending with horrid lighting conditions, converse...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

Just looked at his figures for 2019 and 2020 on companys house, and to be honest if thats accurate (and i have no reason or suspicion etc that they are not), he's not making a lot of money at all, which in these days of 'you tube' blogs and vlogs and such stuff is surprising it's not more.
