I like the idea of the media platform but having seen a picture it looks a bit small. Wondering if it gets crowded and ends up in the Russian equivalent of a bun fight?

Good program.Wasnt too dramatic with the narration and a showing of behind the scenes.
A point of interest for me was the photo album. The pilot that hit the stray yacht mast was my pilot in an aerobatics flight bought for my birthday. He was a real nice guy.

In fairness to RAF Marham and the Station boss its a very nice offer. One which I will be taking up (families day that is).I hope that the majority of the other enthusiasts can make it as well.

Re: Marham Enthusiasts Day 21st June 2018
The trouble is you need an 'enthusiast' involved in planning these events , a lot of Officers in the RAF firmly believe you will be happy to see a couple of aircraft whizzing around and some aircrew getting in and out of jets(this view has been around for decades), this 'charity' event will have ti...

A quite extraordinary post, which really paints the event, the RAF and civilian police in a very poor light. Being told not to be "racially prejudiced" when reporting suspicious activity is just one aspect of several in this story that the newspapers would be all over. It plants a seed of...

Re: Marham Enthusiasts Day 21st June 2018
With it being Marham, a historic bomber station, and 617 Squadron being the first to stand up with the new toy I'm surprised that the Lancaster and Blenheim weren't in attendance instead of a poxy Spitfire . Certainly smacks of minimum effort and I pity the poor saps who attended. To be fair the Sp...

Thanks again for the replies.
George, I'm not sure what gear exactly except it will only comprise of 1 body and lens for statics and a telephoto. So I'm going to pack a bag and check on scales before I decide.
Cheers

Gents,
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply with some great tips.I think it’s a good idea to see what I can fit into my camera bag before it reaches the 8 kg limit for cabin luggage set by the airline then take it from there.

Overseas travel with gear
A question for the photography veterans. How do you transport your gear when flying to another country? I'm doing my first trip abroad in May and I'm wondering how I can pack my stuff safely. I think my camera bag will be too heavy for cabin baggage. I could split it and put some gear in the hold lu...

G1 for me... I'm worried that I'm going to struggle to get photos at the top of the runway because of the railing next to me. Has anyone been in / sat close to these seats before? I sat by one of the grandstand railings last year (next to where the stairs come up from the back of the grandstand) an...

2 x Apache AH-1's Over North Birmingham
Nice too have 2 Apache's fly through the Birmingham 15 approach this afternoon. Not a sight we see everyday for sure. Turned on the pc to see that it was Viper flight, originated near to Mildenhall (that's where the trace started) and heading towards the Black Country.
