Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
Not all businesses will be 100% back up and running in June so makes perfect sense to keep a financial support mechanism in place for those businesses, to allow them time to build back up to full capacity again.

Re: Interest in watching a rocket launch?
I'd be very interested but you've got no chance at either Duxford or Fairford if you're thinking of anywhere near 10,000ft. I seem to recall Fairford's RA(T) only extends to 7,000ft, and Duxford's is much lower due to Stansted's airspace (and soon, Luton's airspace grab!)

Re: The Angry Thread...
The amount of outrage, in the press and on social media, that an MP has claimed for some personalised Airpods (the cost of which seems to vary from £159 to £249 depending on which new outlet!) compared to the £1bn+ in failed PPE contracts. I suppose it comes down to what's more relatable for people....

Re: RAF Sentinel Retirement.
I seem to recall the RAF wanted Gulfstream 5s rather than Global Expresses?
Funny that the Global Express has become the go-to ISTAR platform now. Perhaps the RAF were wrong. Funny that.

Re: RAF Sentinel Retirement.
Oddly this one was actually and MOD decision!
It's fine though, the RAF have confirmed that Poseidon (using the AAS/LSRS kits we haven't bought) and Protector (that we haven't got) will take up the taskings that Sentinel previously did.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
The NHS COVID-19 app doesn't know who you are, nor does it know where you are. It only knows that device blahblah1234xyz was close to device myphone098756abcde and that the person using phone myphone098756abcde has reported they are positive for Coronavirus.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
Ah gotcha. Yes that's the difference between Test and Trace telling you to isolate, which is legally enforceable, and the app telling you which isn't.

The crane will be fine. Once it's freed the Chinook, but sunk in itself, the Chinook can be used to lift it out again!

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
Nightingale hospitals used staff from the local hospitals. If they're at capacity, there's no spare staff for Nightingales. Odd that the government never mentioned that...

You've got more photos in this thread than I've taken all year Tommy, so I'd suggest you e done better than a lot of people when it comes to going places. Jungle is the pick for me, looking forward to seeing that myself.

My biggest question is where will I charge my lovely new electric car? I live in a second floor flat and use my car all day, 6 days a week for delivering parcels. Where do I plug it in?!
