Re: P-51D Mustang "Jersey Jerk"

The irony is that Sywell clearly thought people would turn up, not pay, and photograph their new prize asset before the event even started, then leave.

And this thread, not even remotely surprisingly, has validated their assumption.

Good going folks. 👍

Massive thank you to Martin, the team at TCAHS, Air Leasing, and the aircraft owners for their time yesterday - roll on Breighton in a couple of weeks for more of the same! https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/616988637774479413/1218896241891741697/DSC_5456.jpg?ex=66095496&is=65f6df96&hm=4...

Re: Interesting Internet

Fairly or unfairly, Boeing are not having an amazing time of it lately after the door plug issue (itself after all the other issues). Unfairly. No-one has reported the United A320 incident! Or the United 737MAX rudder incident. Or the United 737 engine shutdown mid-flight. Or the United 757 engine ...

Re: New Medium Helicopter - Discuss

The cost of building it at Yeovil rather than on an already established production line would be astronomical. Which is probably exactly why the MOD will go for it.

Just buy Blackhawks like everyone else!

Do that with all the categories, less for bots to crawl and therefore less resources used.

£30 for a nightshoot? That's nice pricing.

I'm assuming its nonsense, but one of my group chats is going on about how RIAT only have a contract to host RIAT until 2027? They have their future shows listed until 2030 lol.

Where do people come up with this faff
RIAT can only host itself until 2027?

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

As ever, the issue really is one of inflation vs wages.

For the last two years RIAT is the only aviation thing I've done, but I think this year it'll be a year of nothing instead.

I'm not sure, and a follow-up question is when was the last time two airworthy Grumman flying boats were in the UK at the same time?

Goose N4575C arrived today, I believe into Coventry of all places.

It requires 4 engines and must be built on an airframe designed and built in the US. Rather limits the scope of the project.

Park in the car park and walk around the public area to find a spot. Or join the many people who will no doubt be on the control tower.
