Re: Airpower24 - Zeltweg, Austria

On the Thursday, Police were blocking off Flatschacher Strasse from corner of the field (near Gartenweg). The crops were very high, which made approach shots difficult. They were more tolerant of people out in the field, but were still moving anyone on who went beyond the crop line. I watched from ...

Re: NATO Tiger Meet 2024

On mine (HSBC) it said do you want to cover fees and it defaulted to yes which I left. I paid £34.71 for each day.

Re: Airpower24 - Zeltweg, Austria

If it helps for context, my video of spotting from that field is below. We parked in the field behind along with others, some parked along the road (the cars there are parked along Kattigarweg). Note that this was on Tuesday before the show, I think access was a bit more difficult for the remainder...

Re: Airpower24 - Zeltweg, Austria

What’s it like from outside photography wise for arrivals and departures? I've never stayed for the departures but the situation for arrivals is not great (but not terrible either). Spotters were gradually pushed away from the fence during the past editions of Airpower. Last time, we were allowed t...

Re: Airpower24 - Zeltweg, Austria

Anyone actually managed to submit the form and get a ‘we have received your application’ or anything along the lines. Will they train on Saturday and Sunday?
They dont normally but have been known to put on an airshow/public day the weekend after the Spotters Day from time to time but generally no.

Re: Airpower24 - Zeltweg, Austria

Where is the crowd (or crowded from what I've read) line usually for this show. Is it south of the runway where the infrastructure is giving a sun behind the crowd experiance? Sun behind you the whole day, with a mountain in front. It's why it's one of Europe's best airshow locations. Awesome. That...

Re: Belgian Air Force Days 2023 - Kleine-Brogel Airbase

We arrived at 8am yesterday after getting lost (follow the directions not memory) and we were in for 9:15. No issues will water (I had two bottles on the outside of my bag and was just asked to confirm it was water). The comms kept changing even as last as Thur night so I assume the message didn't g...

Re: Belgian Air Force Days 2023 - Kleine-Brogel Airbase

Also the warning of a 20 minute walk to the airshow from car park B was quite an exaggeration- only half that, so not a disaster if you need to return to the car (assuming you are allowed of course....) Depends how far you go down the crowd line. We were past half way so prob about 20 mins. Felt lo...

Do the "Airshow Insiders" get a schedule emailed to them each morning or am I confusing it with another airshow (WOH) that uses the "Insiders" line?
yes, insiders should get the timelines from all the displays via the mail
Great thanks for confirming.

Check the French version, then, it works much better for Sunday: https://airlegend.fr/programme-des-vols/ . Maybe the Sunday, with its better program, is for French citizens only. Re: Villaroche Air Legend 2023

Such a shame it is same weekend as KB Or a bonus so you can do both. "Only" 4 hours between. Yeah I'm doing both Air Legend and KB, should be able to catch PDF both days and weather looks very nice (for now). We're doing the same but BAFD first so I think we miss the PDF in that case.

Re: Villaroche Air Legend 2023

There are two runways at Melun, with most of the jets using the far runway, so if you're a photographer bear that in mind. We are also booked for KB but now considering the mad dash across Europe for VR on the Sunday. When you say far runway for fast jet take offs do you mean the East/West runway w...

Re: Southport 2019

Stalls and displays are within the show ground. The layout and set up at Southport is much like an airshow at an airfield, which will make sense when you see it. The geography is such that you can't get that close or much of a view (at show centre) without paying to go in, and once in you have all ...
