Re: Merry Christmas you filthy bunch of animals!
Merry Christmas everyone. And to everyone working or with not much to celebrate, hope 2021 brings better. It's certainly been a crazy old ride these past two years!

Re: RAF Museum Airframe Disposal List
If you really don't think that when an organisation becomes progressively dominated by women rather than men its characteristics and priorities don't change radically then I think you are being less than honest. There is even a name for this process, its called feminisation and one that is widely a...

Re: Spitfire Diamond Jubilee - Duxford 1996
I know this is from a year ago but I didn't catch it that time round!
What a fantastic event this was. Does stick out in my mind of all the airshows I went to in the 90's.
A lot of missed warbirds in that section too. And I must admit to missing the Blenheim with the longer nose.

That's more promising news that what was rumoured. Shuttleworth is the natural home for these aircraft.

Re: Shuttlewworth 2021 dates announced
It’s good to see Shuttleworth thinking about what 2021 will potentially look like and how to make sure the event can hopefully go ahead, when no one knows what the situation will be by then. Themes are a little dull in my opinion but it does give a lot of scope to what can be booked I guess. Glad to...

Glad it has managed to find a new home. Never easy moving an airshow venue though, especially one established for so long at another venue. Just hope that 2021 allows this to actually happen.

Strange to see this aircraft go, as this was the last 747 I worked on before furlough. Great shots though, particularly the wide angle ones.

Re: Stow Maries 2020 Events
I’ve just read the Duxford showcase on the 19th is being shared with Stow Maries but I can’t find any announcement on social media, just their website. Has this been arranged quite quickly? I just don’t understand why they're not pushing this a little more.

Glad to see the aircraft staying in the UK. Easily the best looking Hurricane around, in my opinion even with the two seat conversion.

That 1996 lineup is quite astonishing. Cannot quite believe the amount of aircraft I took for granted, as relatively common to see, in the 90's.
Nine Mustang's as well.

Do wish they would have been a little more exotic with the airshow themes and titles. It's broadly very similar to this year.

hi all I've not been to this one before and couldn't find much info other than here but out intrest is there a showground ie traders or a museum?? etc or just the static line up ??? I attended last year however this year does appear to be a bigger event. Last year there weren't any traders you'd se...

That Anson.
Havent been since the new display line changes, used to love this airshow as it had a "closer than normal" feeling. Sad that it seems things have changed so much.
The ground and takeoff shots are particularly nice.

It's not quite the lone up from last year, the Red Bull aircraft being elsewhere is sorely felt, but it does still have some highlights. It's a shame about Berlin Express and the Hun Hunter however you never know what's going on behind closed doors. Would have loved to have seen them both again. Fi...

Re: Military Airshow 7th July
A thoroughly enjoyable day. Is it just me or were there fewer topside passes than we've come to expect at Old Warden? One disappointment was choosing to interview the BoB veteran whilst the flying was on. He should have been given a slot all of his own so we could hear all what he had to say. Drivi...

Is this also the most Avro 504's at one time? Three have been at Shuttleworth but not flown together. The Flying Legends Facebook page seems pretty adamant that the DH-9 will make it's debut at Flying Legends. (They even replied in capital letters that it's debut will be at Flying Legends) Unsure w...
