Re: Classic British Jets Collection

If it’s too much to learn what everyone else has managed to learn don’t bother. I hope your teams approach to conserving aircraft isn’t as lazy as your approach to marketing. “I want to restore old jets” “You’ll have to learn how to restore old jets then” “That’s overly complicated. Someone else sho...

Re: Indian Air Force Museum, Delhi

That’s a lovely set Andy, thank you. I was fortunate enough to spend some time at HAL in Bangalore and visited their fine museum but never made it to Delhi. I was especially happy to see the shot of the B-24 Liberator. The Indian B-24s have a wonderful story. India was unable to buy bombers during t...

Finnish HX fighter procurement flight testing

Competitors in the race to replace Finland's fleet of 64 Hornets are invited to conduct flight testing over January/February. The testing is to compare reality with the data and specifications previously given by the competitors. This information will then go into virtual simulations over the next y...

Re: Local light aircraft experience flights

This is an interesting topic. As usual, I favour the DIY method. Find your nearest flying club or civilian airfield. Go there and ask someone. Guys who fly understand the appeal, and always appreciate petrol money. To keep your flying insurance valid, all new pilots are required to fly a minimum num...

We’ve had a bag by the door for years. It’s just a case of preparation, even if it’s just for something as simple as your house burning down. Hope it never comes in useful.

Re: Hawgsmoke 2018

These are incredible. Great work. As an aside, that's the least convincing "fake cockpit" I've ever seen painted on the underside! Doesn't really work on the A10 in my opinion as the engines make it look totally different from above or below. Also I thought the idea was to confuse an oppon...

As to the show: Found the Sea Fury and T6II display a bit distant and not great for photography. Thought the AAC classic display was varied and action packed and really surprisingly pleasant. Commando assault looked good. Harrier EPIC Static very strong this year. Especially nice to see the Sea Hawk...

Two fast jets circling this morning, wasn’t quick enough to the window to spot what they were. Anyone have a link to the NOTAM or info on arrivals outside of the Friday window?
