Re: Mark Petrie - RIP

i think this as an important reminder that the stalwarts of our community not only irreplaceable but human too, without the efforts of a handful of hard-working and dedicated men and women there would be very little left of our "vintage/classic" aviation heritage still left flying. When th...

Re: Mark Petrie - RIP

Absolutely gutted reading this. While i never met him, his displays where something i always looked forward, he has been a massive part in getting classic jets back on the show circuit post Shoreham. He really will be missed . We can hope that the Strikey's can be kept in the air as a lasting legacy...

Re: Current aircraft being restored to flight

Lockheed L10A Electra c/n 1145, now ZK-AFD, flew for the first time yesterday at Ardmore here in NZ after a restoration begun in the late 1990s. I think this makes just two Electras flying worldwide? there is more, one in the UK (duxford??), one in belguim that came to Sleapkosh'23 and i think a ha...

absolutely shocking rugpull from the IWM/MOD, i cant imagine how frustrating this must be for everyone involved.
