Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Morning all, New to the forum. Drove past Fairford today noticed the construction work still in full swing on the north east side of the airfield. Will be interesting to see where the display aircraft are parked this year. Could make for a pretty awesome bit of action if they’re only using areas at...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Not sure why there is this concentration on fighter types ? I’ve been attending since 1998 and this year I finally get to see Austrian Typhoons! The Rafale and USAF stuff will be back, but the Austrians? Not so sure…. There seems to be a lack of interest in the helicopters on this thread , yet when...

I wont believe any weather updates until Peter has confirmed it.
Surely we should have a separate weather wish list

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022
Or, it's like going to a football match and your favourite players aren't selected. Or like going to a concert and you you leave stamping your feet because they didn't play your favourite songs. To be quite honest, all this talk about the JP/ Strikemaster pair is based on a bit of he said she said. ...

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022
Here’s a novel idea/ theory for you.. What if the Cosford display is going to have a significant jubilee themed section with an assembled flypast as its finale? Given that the show is a sell out, as organisers you’d perhaps not want to broadcast the fact to deter what would or could otherwise be a s...

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022
Rarely post these days. Everybody is entitled to an opinion so here’s mine. The almost constant whinging about a lack of updates and shortage of information is really shameful. Firstly, trying to arrange an airshow with such little time was always going to be a huge challenge. Very few seem to be ac...

From The Cult Off the Electric album The 2nd track Peace Dog has in its chorus “B 5 2 baby way up in the sky Drop your love on me tonight. In the demo version the 52 was pronounced as fifty-two. But by the time the album came out it had been skimmed to ‘five two’ to trip off the tongue a little easi...

I’d gladly take a Su-22 from Poland - or anywhere for that matter.
Actually any Easter bloc /Soviet era hardware is fine by me.

Everything I have seen from the official channels today has said the desire is there to put on a September show, providing it’s viable.
Take a look at their Twitter feed for exact wording
Failing that, those who have 2020 tickets will have super super super earlybird tickets for 2021

Pardon my ignorance about the nuts and bolts of this excercise.
Can anyone enlighten me on where the low flying is likely to be.
Cape Wrath?, North England? I suppose Wales is still unlikely.
Any thoughts please?

My wish would be
That I wish people could respect other peoples wishes
I’d love to see something big of Russian origin - Just because it would be a bit exotic.
I’d settle for having something WW2 era in the static too mind.

RAFAT & B-2?
Well, considering the reds are off to North America after RIAT there’s more than a decent chance of that happening I’d say.

Great to see the Airbus A400 in the flying display.
I saw it at Farnborough 2016 and was suitably awestruck by it’s manoeuvrability in the hands of Airbus’ in-house test pilots.
When was the Airbus demo last seen at Fairford?

Re: Bruntingthorpe Cold War Jets Open Day 25th August 2019
The Nimrod did its bit to remove a few of the hefty bollards at the last run. Most amusing. I noted that it took two chaps to retrieve them from the trees too- the awesome power of the Jet blast On the subject of negativity- what does it matter if the money is going in Tom, Dick or Harrys pocket- yo...

Its certainly someone or some persons associated with Canopus (the Brunti Comet) or generally with the cold war collection there. A twitter search for @cometcanopus will reveal this.
