Very sad news Dr Plemings and others work allowed myself and many others to see a Vulcan fly for the first time, from my first sighting at Farnborough 2008 to it final season in 2015 it was a highlight of any show it attend.

I thought the Dunsfold aircraft was for filming purposes? Hardly preservation!
Yes its main purpose is for filming however from what ive heard there are plans to allow public access to it, agree though it will have to earn its keep however so does Neglus

Re: BA retires entire Boeing 747 fleet

Subject to change but its been announced Landor will go to Dunsfold to join VW should be arriving this week, currently due Friday. Details are still to be sorted, however 3 retros and chatham dockyard scheme isn't a bad preservation line up! https://twitter.com/MZulqarnainBut1/status/133265235655144...

Could it land on their short runway?
Dunsfold is 1800m (shorter than Kemble), the aircraft stopped with runway to spare but Duxford is 1200m so 600m shorter, I cannot see it happening, if it does ill certainly be there!
