Re: Bruntingthorpe Closure?
Perhaps there is hope for the Boeing 747-300s (ex-Transaero), which have been stored at the airfield for some time. It seem that 3 contract jobs are available to restore at least one of them. https://www.adecco.co.uk/Job/boeing-747-classic-restorer-lutterworth-engineering-aerospace-automotive-contra...

My take on RIAT19
Hi everyone. Here's some of my images from this year's RIAT. Pretty pleased with how they have come out, as seen as it was my first time using a DSLR. A few flying display images to come when I have finished editing them. Constructive criticism welcome https://farm66.staticflickr.com/65535/485295416...

Re: RIAT 2019
My take on this year's RIAT: A great day out! The positioning of the static displays was relatively good, with some nice rarities, especially those Turkish F4s. Flying display was likewise excellent, helped out by the weather, which allowed for no cancellations (excluding serviceability problems). H...

Re: Jaguar returning to flight?
Quick search on Facebook suggests that XX841 is one of the most complete Jaguars ever sold by the MoD into private hands, so it seems like a good candiate for a return to flight. Pictures also suggest that it has been stored inside prior to its move to North Weald, so fingers crossed this project be...

Re: Another jet warbird gone? Canberra to India?
What is it that everyone is proposing? That it sit for another four years in a hangar at Kemble? It is not even in a hangar at Kemble anymore. It has been parked outside next to XH135 for several months now, so will only deteriorate if left for a long time with no maintenance. At least XH134 has a ...

Re: Scampton Airshow 2018
I appreciate running two airshows is very hard work for DBH, but I would love to see a return of Scampton Airshow in 2019. I would certainly try and make the date! A return of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight, but in a flying capacity, would certainly make it a 2019 season highlight!

Re: Does HHA have an F4?
Regarding the HHA Hunters, I overheard one of the employees around ZZ191 saying that the Hunters are to undergo a glass cockpit upgrade - at a cost of around £110k per aircraft. Also, considering fatigue life alone, the aircraft could fly for another 600 years (if flown at the same rate as they do n...
