Re: UK Heritage Aviation Trust
Surprised this has not been picked up on yet but UKHAT are now it seems working as a partner to restore a Sea Vampire, website seems to only give a few details, however from the official Facebook page we can find the following, New Vampire Project for UKHAT UKHAT, the organisation working to rescue ...

Was it 2013 when a MIG-29 was listed for Waddington before being cancelled prior to the show, minds gone blank as to who was suposed to be sending it.

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?
I'd imagine you would be looking at a seven figure sum to move a Vulcan and then rebuild it to a fit enough state to be able to run, fast taxi in its new home. The owner of 655 has according to the social media rumour mill said the plan for 655 is for it be on display at the planned new development ...

Yes I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see just how well presented the UKHAT stall at Cosford was, looked very professional so well done on that front.

Re: UK Heritage Aviation Trust
You guys seem to think we are all amateurs. You are all entitled to your own opinion and we respect that. Lets put it all in perspective - I wonder what your reactions were when VTTS revealed they were going to return XH558 to the skies. When VTTS first announced a rebuild to flight for XH558 way b...

Would have thought there own website would be accurate.lol Same (why I booked the Monday tickets), but the post a few previous says they are down for Sunday departure. Tried asking for clarification from the poster but none given yet. Came from a guy who claims to be helping out at the airshow we s...

Re: RAF Scampton Air Show 2017
Can anybody shed some light on the P&V enclosure on Monday? I've got Sunday tickets and Monday, but will only attend the Monday if we have a decent position/view. Will it be a similar set up to RIAT P&V East? Or will it be positioned differently? How close will we be? Really hoping to be th...

Re: Where has XH558 thread gone?
Has anyone ever provided a compelling reason why ANYONE still needs to recieve a salary, part-time or otherwise, from an aeroplane which is never going to fly again, and which is living hand-to-mouth just to sit next to a dung-heap in Yorkshire? The gravy train analogy is fair. Beef stock. Chicken ...

Meanwhile, BPAG are reporting that they are involved with someone called APRES (Aircraft Preservation Restoration and Education Society) about whom little information seems to be available. Another Facebook group that seems to want to do all sorts but never seems to make any progress, this little l...

Re: UK Heritage Aviation Trust
To be honest I'm still unsure what the long term aim for this is, you say you wish to sell products to fund the purchase of an airframe, any in mind, or at the very least a rough idea of what your looking to operate, a classic jet, helicopter, WW2 warbird etc, its all just a bit lacking in substance...

Re: Drone causes disruption at Gatwick airport
I was shocked to see a stall at Cosford Airshow selling them to be honest, I mean it would only take one clown to start flying one during a display and we can all see the potential for something to go horribly wrong.

Is it really the time to start asking for replacement acts for the Sea Vixen, less than three hours after the wheels up landing and we have people calling for this that and the other to replace it in various airshows.

Indeed. Nice as it is, now's the time to give it up. Too many incidents and near-misses. FNHT need to acknowledge that you can only ride your luck for so long. Lovely machine, but clearly unreliable and therefore not safe. Yeah that comment helps doesn't it - its so easy to kick someone when they'r...

A friend of mine is at that event, she complained about the fence last year as did others and was told it would not be in place this year. Seems like the feedback the organisers asked for has been totally ignored.

Re: Sea Vixen XP924 Thread
Silly question.... VTST used to say something along the lines of they didn't publicise practice display flights as that would be a breach of CAA regulations ( the CAA would then class them as proper displays, not practice displays ) Have the regulations in this respect changed, are they different f...

If UKHAT succeeds in buying, restoring and flying anything, I will be amazed. I've not seen one scintilla of evidence which suggests credibility. Did you miss the big announcement this week, UKHAT now have an "official" twitter account, all well and good but if its as wishy washy as the F...

For anyone who does not follow UKHAT on social media the group are now asking if people would like to see them operating two Vampires, I'm sure the people behind UKHAT are well meaning but the entire thing is looking a bit of a farce to be honest.

Getting a Concorde flying again might be the next idea that the UKAHT group come up with, I'm struggling to think of a British built Jet from the 50s and 60s that said group has not claimed on Facebook to want to return to flight.

Not trying to be negative but you must stop calling yourself a trust until you legally are one, when asking for donations you need to be getting the basics right.

Re: Hawker Hunter Aviation
The Buccaneer is not for sale anyway, so not sure why UKAHT were considering it in the first place, still what can one expect from a Facebook group that seems to list a Vulcan among the possible aircraft types being looked at for them to fly.
