Re: Non-Existent Customer Support from RIAT and/or RAFCTE

Well, to be honest, if you really think a campsite has a better view, then you probably should. In all honesty, the only thing stopping me from just staying at the campsite is the static display. Everything else that goes along with attending the show and the customer service from the RIAT team thi...

Re: Non-Existent Customer Support from RIAT and/or RAFCTE

I thought my issue had been solved too, but here I am waiting another 2 weeks for a reply to my email asking for a confirmation for the tickets I now own for the 2024 show. My account on the RIAT website still shows the order details of the old order which includes the grandstand seats I was told we...

Re: Non-Existent Customer Support from RIAT and/or RAFCTE

A quick follow-up to my original post, we finally managed to get a reply from the RAFCTE Finance Director after a member of this forum very kindly offered to pass this thread on to a member of staff there (I don't want to say names but you know who you are, thank you!). No word of apology in their e...

Non-Existent Customer Support from RIAT and/or RAFCTE

Has anyone else had an abysmal experience with RIAT customer support and/or RAFCTE customer support recently? We're currently dealing with a total lack of responses from them and we're wondering if anyone has had any luck getting in touch via other means? To explain the situation, we got notified vi...

Re: RIAT 2020 - CANCELLED

Has anybody not had the email yet - apart from me? I went for Mach 1 for 2020 so might be down the list. I haven’t received an email either (not that it matters to me because I’m rolling over). They’ve even made another post on FB this morning saying everyone should have an email. If anyone wants a...

Re: RIAT 2020 - CANCELLED

Credit where credit is due, they’ve handled this whole situation brilliantly IMHO  The choice to carry over your grandstand seat for next year was the deciding factor for me to roll over the payment. Here’s hoping the big 5-0 next year will be one to remember!

Re: RIAT 2020 - CANCELLED

I wonder if seat requests etc will be carried over to next year? As in FRIAT? I think it would be fair to assume that the full state of affairs from this year would be carried over lock stock and barrel to next year. Its the easiest way, effectively a 12 month postponement. So in that case the answ...

I just edited my post above to include it, but yes. Either full refund or potentially forward payment to 2021. More info in new few weeks.

Re: RIAT 2020 - CANCELLED

It’s the right decision, no one can argue that. But man it’s disappointing. Going to leave a big hole in a lot of peoples summers There is also a FAQ page on the website. A key point many will want to know is: Yes, you will be able to apply for a refund or potentially carry over to 2021 what you pai...

Not a blow your socks off type update but nothing to grumble about there. Been a few years since we last saw a Wildcat flying and it’s a nice bulking up of the static

Re: RIAT 2020

So what is still available from the States that could be present at Fairford this year? F35A Demo Team and the A10c Thunderbolt II/Warthog Demo Depends if he means flying or static. Could be F-15, B-1b, B-52, C-130, P-8, Osprey for static display, a few other contenders too. Osprey flying is probab...

Re: RIAT 2020

Thank you for the kind words on previous pages. I have been lucky to have had an excellent handover period with Tom, and the awesome Air Operations team have been doing a stellar job over the last few months preparing for RIAT 2020. This year's themes give us two exciting areas of military aviation...

Re: RIAT 2020

How is this not an update? All updates are hopeful until the aircraft arrives (and even then they sometimes leave anyway, as we have been discussing). And when was the last time there was an RAF P-8 at RIAT? Exactly - so it will be a UK airshow debut, no? unless Cosford or Yeovilton sneak one in Th...

I’d like to see the Gripen E, preferably with their newly realised splinter camo. Don’t think its too far fetched considering it’s a Farnborough year too.

Re: RIAT 2020

Not getting the E-Tickets until 2 weeks before the show is a very good move IMHO. Stops anyone buying bulk now and selling them closer to the show. Have the Saturday tickets already gone up? Marked as current price £54 and full price £59. Sunday at £49 Smart business move TBH. Saturday always sells ...
