Re: Duxford Diary 2020

Not such good news for Flying Legends fans - 2019 was the last one ever to be held at Duxford. https://britishairshows.com/duxford-flying-legends-airshow I'm thankful for all the memories from the good old days and hope that maybe an even better venue may be found in the future. It does, however, ro...

Final start, run up, taxi, take-off and the sad end result - thank goodness that the pilot and passenger survived!
I'd prefer to think it's final - for now. This A/C has been rebuilt in the past.

Sea Fury forced landing in Harston, Cambs.

I just got a message from a local contact that a Sea Fury has made a forced landing in Harston, Cambs.

Two people involved, no fatalities thank goodness - I'll add more info when I get it.

Goes without saying that I hope all are safe and well.

Re: Duxford Diary 2020

Thanks for the new thread and handy links David - Here's to another year of Duxford coverage. It's become a bit of a tradition for my partner and me to visit on new year's day - in previous years as Friends of Duxford or reluctantly IWM, however this year we're supporting SallyB and received free en...

Re: Duxford Diary 2019

f there's anyone who hasn't read the account of Taffy Holden's astonishing exploit, just search online for an account. David - I've read accounts which say that the aircraft still bears scars from this flight - is that true? - Any chance of a pic?! It's well worth a read if anyone doesn't already k...

Re: Duxford Diary 2019

Thank you David for migrating your beautiful photos from Duxford to a much better platform! I've really missed your (and others') updates since the Key Forum self-destructed. I also like your suggestions for the way forward. It's great to see so many familiar members' names already back here, it's l...

Re: Eastbourne

I got another reply from Airbourne's organisers today, this time with a message from the Display Director. It's very good of them to take the time to respond further. I've replied to them and copied my email below. Their initial response is in bold/italic and my reply is in normal font. "Thanks...

Re: Eastbourne

Just to confirm that I've received a very similar reply and indeed sent a similar one back. I'm impressed with Airbourne in general and communicating with the show's organisers makes me more so. There appears to be a possible solution available here which will satisfy all parties so hopefully common...

Airbourne 2016

Hello everyone - I'm new in these parts although I've been taking photos of aircraft for a few years now. Like everyone else (and posted elsewhere) my day on Beachy Head was a big disappointment but otherwise Airbourne was a lot of fun. I've put a few images up here , but what follows are my highlig...

Re: Your Favourite Image from 2015!

Great thread - there are some absolutely amazing photos here and plenty of variety which is nice. Quite tricky to pick out a favourite...this shot seems to represent my favourite aircraft saying goodbye to me, if that makes any sense. Indeed it does Dan. Here's my preferred Goodbye Vulcan pic - take...

Re: Eastbourne

If you feel like you had a wasted trip to Beachy Head, like I did.........let the Tourist Information Centre know. Beachy Head is listed on their website as a place to view...............which it isn't anymore, and why things have changed is beyond me. Here's their email address; tic@eastbourne.gov...
