Agreed. The prospect of Super Hornets instead of more F-35/Typhoon squadrons in Europe should be welcome news for all sane minded enthusiasts.

It was officially announced by the organisers... You're strengthening my point: The official text says they " should include spectacular flare launches" whereas the post on here gives the definitive "will indeed". There is a difference between hoping to do something and confirmi...

Re: Yeovilton 2020

Lack of "I believe that" or "I would imagine so" or "it's highly likely that" is the problem with that, and many other posts on forums.
As soon as other people see that in written format it comes across as authoritative and correct, whereas it's just opinion/belief.

Just curious about one thing though'? Why was the Danish Air Force Challenger involved? Single engine aircraft over large expanses of water often transit with SAR support in case of emergency. As the Royal Air Force was/is currently lacking that Maritime Patrol capability, they required the support...

Why does every single thing DBH do generate such negativity on the forums now-a-days? If you hold such a negative view of the organisation, you're obviously not going to enjoy the event, as your mindset means you're trying to find problems to take issue with - however minor and irrelevant to your en...

I have to say, I'm getting bored of all the negativity from the JetFest organisers and supporters against paying visitors who offered any criticism. Let's wait and see what changes in 2020 the arrival of the new boss delivers - I must admit I don't have high hopes. Not sure the CEO of a multi-million pound company, with 50 staff, will personally decide the location of an attraction on the showground. That would be micromanagement at its finest...

Re: New CAA registrations G-RNTB / RNFA

From what I've heard, CAA happy to approve the Harrier to fly in civilian hands, but only as a conventional aircraft. So no hovering or vertical take-off / landing permitted. If that is the case, it'll lead to a rather disappointing display sequence. What's the point having a Harrier performing at y...

The static was certainly not full. Plenty of space on the airfield, there was a nice big space that a big wheel took for a start. I'll clarify my (correct) statement; the airfield space allocated to the Air Ops department for aircraft for RIAT 2019 was FULL. Comparing the space allocated this year ...

In RIAT's defensive, I'm fairly confident that the RAF might have dictated to them that they wanted the Puma in the RAF Village rather than vice-versa.

Given RAFCTE (RIAT) donated over a million pounds to RAFCT (the charity) this year, I struggle to understand the Andy’s logic about how critical the Friday is. The French Army performed a flying display with their Tigre at Payerne Airshow in 2014. One of the few rare appearances outside an operator nation as ST24 says.
