Re: Kings Coronation flypast?

He's the boss of all UK armed forces so I'd be surprised if KC3 didn't get something. Question is, will it be something worth seeing or a token gesture? Bit OT but was wondering if other branches of the army, and indeed other branches of the military, get P'd off with the guards getting all the cer...

Re: Interesting Internet

Secret location? Using bits from the other uncompleted one? Mmm not sure I'd be too far away from an air raid shelter anywhere near Gostomel anytime soon.
I'd be amazed if this is anything more than propaganda and if it is true even more amazed that Russia will allow it to get anywhere near completed

I was at the Hornby visitor centre last time I was here in 2019. Biggin Hill I did in 2017 (I would love to go back but the department of war and peace has other ideas) Manston was in 2015 The Chatham Historic Dockyard and Eastchurch museum I have not been too. Thanks for your suggestions all. If y...

Re: Red Arrows - Seven aircraft display 2022

The info now in the public domain was likely known to those in the RAF/MoD at the time the tour to Bahrain was announced. Therefore it seems to be awfully poor judgement to sign off on such a tour. https://www.raf.mod.uk/news/articles/red-arrows-to-perform-at-major-gulf-airshow-for-the-first-time/ ...

Re: Red Arrows - Seven aircraft display 2022

Never in the RAF so I wouldn't know but can you just resign (officers) or leave (Blues) the squadron such as is mentioned in the articles / posts above? I accept that you need to apply to become a red but once you are in thats you for the next couple of years isn't it? Surely if you resign from the ...

Re: Time for a new UK military airshow?

Absolutely, never quite understood the recruitment angle, sure it must help but how many that join the RN have actually even seen a ship let alone been on one and even less so been at sea on one. How many of those joining the army have sat in a tank or shot a rifle?

You’ve lost me? The 4th July celebrates American independence from British rule (the stripes on the US flag represent the 13 colonies that declared independence). Had that not happened, theoretically QEII would be the US head of state rather than Biden. The event on 02 June celebrates QEII's offici...
