Makes the RAF100 flypast seem a bit...simple?
Not really - if Canberra had the same level of traffic going into it that all of London's airports had I might agree with you...

OMG we have all turned into Douglas Hurd.

Actually ITR that is quite likely here in Sweden. It's another excuse to use to cover up the appalling government inaction on vaccinations.

While Starmer looked like he had the stature to succeed that's about all he has shown - what he and the Labour Party stand for is, at least to me, largely unknown.

Seems the Defence Command Paper update with most of the detail will not be until 22 March. The integrated review said at 'least 48 F35s' by 2025.

It suits the politicians agenda in the EU - instead of people having to wait due to total sheer incompetence some night say criminal negligence of them failing to get the vaccines in a timely manner and the public blaming them they will palm off delay on protecting the public from blood clotting ter...

China is about to invite itself to restore order in Burma. There's no such thing as too much firepower. 40 years ago I remember Sunday lunchtimes sitting with my Dad watching Brian Walden (probably because I liked the intro music from Mountain). I was vaguely interested in Politics but at the heigh...

Frankly all this Dick- vigil, no vigil stuff is a diversion from the most important issue - the amendments to the Police Act that has been brought up before. 'We' complain about freedom in China,Hong Kong, Myanmar, Russia, Iran and numerous others but virtually ignore the loss of our own freedoms. I...

Trade deals with Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and the such may be assisted with a big fat carrier swanning around their areas pointing towards China... although not empire it may still be in our interests. As for NATO what are we actually defending ourselves from?

Re: “Integrated Review” - SDSR 2021

The carrier plan is not for two operationally together but for one to be 'on duty' while the other is in for repairs, maintenance, modification, leave etc. There will only ever be one set of aircraft embarked and that may well be with a USMC contingent. Don't forget the second carrier has not been w...

Yes - H&S require a person on each end so it does not end up as a Laurel and Hardy sketch. However, they have failed to take into account Covid distance measures and if the item is held in the centre there is just 1.2m left over each way and no one should be within 2m. I've probably been thinking a...
