Re: Radom Airshow - 30-31 August 2025

Skaryzewska is closed from early on in the morning, but the road that leads into the opposite side of the field is open all day. It's a good idea to get there early anyway as there's a lot of people watching from outside as well. so Skrzydlata street is open? looks like 1h by foot from the train st...

Re: This Forum - any further point?

I feel as though the moderation here is balanced and fair. Facebook has changed the hobby considerably, but I think people come to UKAR to have a more educated discussion than the dross that social media is filled with. I think it's for the benefit of everyone that the moderation team continue to k...

Max. 4 spares per person (incl. power banks) kept in original packaging or insulated/p...

Lithium batteries on flights

Many will be heading abroad to shows with cameras - and spare batteries. Incidents with lithium batteries are increasingly being reported so don't get caught out. The rules are not obvious and are different so it is best to check on your airline's website.

Re: Invasion of Ukraine (Aviation) Discussion

Has it not been disproven that the kill switch is a bit of a myth? I still think that some countries are going to turn back on the F35, but more because spare parts supply concerns and a lack of trust for the supplier at the current moment in time in my opinion The price for reliance on the USA htt...

Thanks for the replies. Not going to make Thunder but will try to attend the show at Fort Wayne for a day. Does anyone know what the Oshkosh final Sunday is like - the show is shorter so do participants start departing straight after? Thanks

So it's goodbye, at least for this year, to RIAT. After many years the spirit and soul of the show have been eaten too much for me and I am heading away for another show I have been meaning to go to for many years - Oshkosh. Sure I will miss a few cracking items that the team will conjure up and I w...

Why bother suggesting anything- we have already done that and it’s been totally ignored. There’s not even a courtesy explanation of why the main suggestions have been ignored. Clearly any consultation or feedback was a tick box exercise.
