Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Frankly I can simply not understand why people do not wear masks - no its not a total answer but it reduces risk - why does anyone not want to reduce risk? Is it really that such a great number of people are that stupid. Covid is likely with us forever. Do you want to wear a mask for the rest of yo...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

The vaccination scheme seems to progress at a very low rate being stuck in the 60%s for some time. Can anyone tell me why? And why was it not acceptable to have these levels of covid rates and deaths before but it is now? Frankly I can simply not understand why people do not wear masks - no its not ...

Re: President Biden

As someone who now lives abroad can anyone tell me why, in the Uk, this now seems acceptable, whereas we had masks, lockdown etc etc when it was at these levels previously... 'On Thursday, the UK reported more than 45,000 new coronavirus cases – the most since mid-July – and more than 800 deaths wer...

Re: No Time To Die - with SPOILERS

It was clearly a no-brainer decision for Bond - what else could he do?

- no fuel for the Aston Martin
- social distancing so he can't get too close to whoever...
- Covid restrictions prevent travel to exotic destinations..
and the supermarket out of martini...

Not really what I asked - for example you might want a different sort of camera for long distance airshows than filming people close up

Re: Aeralis Red Arrows?

My daughter as a case in point clamoured to see the Red Arrows. A plain grey Typhoon? Meh. Exact opposite for me almost 50 years ago, when I attended my first airshow, Battle of Britain At Home Day at Biggin Hill. Wasn't even interested in the Reds, what hooked me into wanting to fly was seeing the...

Re: Aeralis Red Arrows?

I am sure the MoD beancounters would be only too happy to be rid of the Red Arrows and the Memorial Flight. It would only be public opinion and an outcry that would prevent it.

There's several holiday homes at South Cerney for 900 for five days - albeit two bedrooms someone has to have the sofa. Depends on your idea of an OK price I guess

Re: Riga Aviation Museum

For anyone hoping to make a quick visit the museum is currently closed. In fact it is not there now at all as the airport is to extend the terminal and the land was required. However, after some discussion the aircraft have been moved to near a flight school on the west side of the airport. The mean...

Re: The UKAR politics thread

No point in holding an airport if no-one can get to it. It's a political solution or nothing. What I find incredible and troubling is that if, even with the Doha deal as described by above, UK politicians and it seems some Uk military leaders 'could not possibly' have seen all this coming - how qual...

I use mine as a dash cam - works fine - but there are much cheaper options unless you really want 4k for a dash cam. The downside is also that it will eat up the battery
