Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Omicron is the 15th Greek letter. They didn’t use the 13th “Nu” because of the confusion of calling a New variant Nu. They didn’t use the 14th “Xi” because it’s a common surname. That leaves the question - what happened to the variants between Delta ( 4th Greek Letter ) and Nu ( 13th Greek letter )...

Re: The UKAR politics thread

I would rather people make the transition when they feel it is a viable alternative, not be forced into it. I can’t see how the infrastructure is going to be there to support it either? I work inside the industry that is providing the alternative and the infrastructure. there are models for hydroge...

I think he's finished politically.

Don't forget if he did want to run again he would have to go through the whole Republican nomination shenanigans and I don't think they would buy it a second time around
Only if he wanted to run for the Republican Party...

With the highest number of votes in history bar one I would not be surprised if he stood again in 2024, as a republican or independent. It must be what the republican's fear as it would split their vote if they did not endorse him.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

While we are all hoping for the vaccine it appears that even that will not solve the pandemic unless it is 70-80% effective. There seems to be some medical debate on what level it needs to reach to be approved - could be around 50% or less especially if political pressure is taken into account.
