He lasted 60 years longer than the tiger he shot in India.
It's more fun shooting them in Africa, better weather less people about.

Re: The Angry Thread...

I tried to watch a documentary on Channel 5 last night. It went like this. First 5 mins - tell you what they going to tell you in the programme. Next 5 mins - tell you something. Next 5 mins tell you what’s coming up in next bit ( after adverts ). Then the other 15 mins sections followed this patte...

Re: Red Arrows Flying For Their Lives

What an utter load of tosh! Theres no way the Sparrows will move to Typhoons! They will use up the Hawk T1 airframes and fatigue life until the amount of aircraft available dwindles then maybe they will either be disbanded altogether or reduced in numbers gradually until its just a single Sparrow. I...

Re: UKAR - Title review needed?

Sounds a good idea - that said, I dread to think what I might have said in the past. There might be one from me 13 months ago asking why everyone’s getting so het up about this Coronavirus nonsense (although I might have said that to a mate at one of our monthly meet-ups at an Indian restaurant; th...

One persons interest is anothers snooze sheet, its good that UKAR is pretty much open to any subject, except maybe that tin triangle scrap heap. My personal perusal is usually Aviation Waffle then Historic Aviation, quick stop in the photos sections, to see if theres any new aviation piccys arrived ...

Re: Interest in watching a rocket launch?

Make it entertaining! faff about for half an hour before launch and everyone will be bored stupid! get on, launch it, recover it, get off before the boredom sets in... The most interesting parts of any live launch on Youtube or wherever is the last minute before launch, watching the thing go up, the...

Ah true, who wants to be in amongst people you don't know. Although not a "typical" role, its funny to think some person has made a checklist of what a drug running aircraft needs and decided upon 125s. Easy to steal! or incredibly cheap to buy, perhaps we should all have one....although just for c...

So I'm curious, LH still has not resigned with Merc for the 2021 season, is there a cut off date where the teams have to announce their driver line up? or can it be left open until the first race or winter testing? Just a personal thought, could it be possible LH is going to take a year out or maybe...

the "glitch" would be the camera shake when clicking/opening the mirror. Agreed, zooming in quite a lot and looking at the red lights in the background they all seem to have the same movement. Also zooming in on the tail theres a very very slight, for want of another word, ghost tail, most evident ...
