Plenty of ground either side of the lpg, qra sheds for a large hangar and outside static. Plus you can gain direct entry from Bath lane through the old crash gate. Plenty of room.
The way other shows have cancelled I doubt the August fast taxi day will still go ahead.

Re: Germany buying new Typhoons, Super Hornets and Growlers
I'm just a it confused that in the days of stand off missiles, stealth jets and drones, the concept of flying a manned aircraft over a heavily defended enemy target to lob a free fall gravity nuke onto it, is even considered a vital role..... surely that concept should have gone out with the F117s ...

The Germans stated that the F35 only offerd 10% that being its limited stealth. Its Eurofighters and super hornets can do the other 90% much better.and without black boxs.

Keep training. Could be July or August or Sept we get a reprive of non puplic mixing. The reds can do what there good at and go around all the big seaside towns displaying for the masses at our seaside. A bit of hope and pride of Britain if we get over the virus in that time span. When you see a large event like Glastonbury
Have to cancel, that is also close in date with RIAT. Then you have to expect RIAT to make an annoucement very soon.

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
Reminds me of the 1970s, but not as bad. All these people panic buying. 70s we had no bread queing for miles at every shop and bakery. No electricity due to miner strikes and power grid strikes. No petrol at the pumps. No candles in the shops. But we did have toilet paper. At least today we do have ...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
I wish our Airshow organisers would just acknowledge that they will likely cancel shows, particularly early and mid season. Take RIAT for example, they are planning to hold an event where tens of thousands of people will attend to see aircraft arrive from all over the world. They are planning to ho...

The museum as been closed at the weekend since before xmas. No weekend visitors for the aircraft area, due to works being carried out close to that area. Sure it will be only a tempeory measure. The airfield is going to be for many years to come with strong investment in the place with the test trac...

Still thinks it down too the recruiting budget being £495million to private firm capita. They must hold the purse strings on things like RAF recruiting, do the raf ask for special painted jets for airshows to aid recruitment. Do capita then sit down and say cheap way is send them some stickers to pu...

The reason the RAF used to put airshows on was mainly part of the recruitment
Side of things and budget.
Think today thou we spend about £10 million a year on recruitment, sadly i think its in private hands today.

Re: 737 Max woes
There are fundamental aerodynamic flaws with the 737 MAX. The relaxion of certification rules which allowed Boeing designers to do their own safety analysis of their designs and the company to then self-certify much of the aircraft, is what is at the bottom of all this. Are the engines and wings th...
