Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
Another thing to speculate on is the consequence of the lock down. Due to 50% of the world population being in lock down and unable to pursue their normal daily activity, there is the potential to see a spike in new arrivals in December / January. This is an experiment on a global scale. Oh I would...

TalkTalk / Teamviewer
Anybody else on here use TalkTalk broadband and tried to use Teamviewer from home? My employer has bought in alternating shifts for working from home, using teamviewer to remotely access the PCs in the office. It's the turn of my colleague today and he has TalkTalk broadband, and he can't access the...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
I work in financial services in a non-customer facing role. So reading the indignant rants about insurance companies from ignorant people who don't understand insurance terms, conditions and exclusions has been funny. We've been told to work from home for the foreseeable but as everything i do is o...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
My daughter is still at primary school, but out of her 32 pupil year 5 class, there were 10 children absent yesterday. I'm not sure about the rest of the school. Talking to another parent yesterday, her daughter came in from break complaining that her chest hurt. The school promptly phoned said pare...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
"Give us your freedom and we will protect you" This whole Covid-19 thing was pre-planned. Create a problem, glean the reaction the offer the solution. It's so bloody obvious. I presume you're being silly, if not then 'being silly', that's very polite, I can't say that was the first thing ...

Re: Airfix 1/72 Vickers Valiant
There's currently only 1 selling on eBay, for £110!! not sure i can justify that
Although with the recent Victor and now the Vulcan, lets hope Airfix complete the trio with a re-release of this.

I like this, you've done a great job!
It's a kit I'd like to build and I keep my eye out for it but never seem to come across one. May have to resort to eBay before they become too scarce!

Re: 2019 General Election
Most have day 1 rhetoric. Most don't start to action on day 1 though. Not sure Theresa May actually rolled anything out in her time and Cameron wasn't much more effective as evidenced by his leaving speech where he was scraping the barrel to find a legacy. Oh I think we're all pretty clear on what ...

I find it amusing when people jump in putting words into the mouths of others. Am I making fun of her autism? No. Have I made fun of people I've known & worked with who have any of the various ASDs? Yes - and if you take offence on their behalf ( because they didn't ) then tough. Actually, the ...

What is it with this anti Greta Thunberg stuff? I don't get it. She's an angry young person who's trying to make a change in the best way she knows how, which for her happens to be very directly, and bloody good for her. We need more young people to be angry with those in charge if you ask me (whic...

Let me just leave this with you - so you think the tories care about nomal people - m BM. RE Jaffas cake / biscuit, its simple. When a cake goes stale it goes hard, when a biscuit goes stale it goes soft. Stale Jaffas are hard, ergo they're cakes.
OK, it's not 42, it's this.

Watching This Morning in STV (ITV). I would have kept quiet about that if I were you! Each to their own. Surely this thread is for drawing attention to any programme that could be of the slightest bit of interest to other members? I apologise, I didn't realise that you were the official forum spoke...

Re: RIAT 2019 weather watch.
I'm planning on coming on the Saturday or Sunday, which I have done for the last 7 years in a row. Normally a better day stands out, but this year they're similarly patchy. Of course the forecasts talk of rain, but that can easily clear to blue skies and only affect the display for half an hour. Do...

But as an off the cuff idea it could have been a "joint" Airbus 50th/ BA 100th event one of each Airbus type passing doing a topside pass, then finished off with a A350/ Reds pass. (assuming there is an A350 already in the BA paint scheme?) That's not a bad shout, although I think the 747...
