Re: Catalina loch Ness difficulties

I'd love to know what the CAA would think of them doing that, as that's got to be one of the biggest no-no's possible. I'm sure you were just asking a rhetorical question out of curiosity, but there's a risk it will be interpreted as insinuating that the operators have been negligent. Maybe ask the...

Re: Scone 17 Oct 20

Also, is it Scone (rhymes with gone) or Scone (rhymes with cone)? Keep em coming  I was led to believe (by our Scottish saleperson) that its more like Skern but then the regional pronunciations vary so much in Scotland so it could be different for others. A good example, that same person has ta...

How on earth did a rib manage to hit it, to quote snatch "it's not as though its a packet of f****** peanuts is it?"
I imagine a replacement blister is going to be hard to come by?

I find it astonishing that an organisation like IWM would need to manually process refunds, I can't believe it is not an automated process.

Indeed, and how many millions more may have been saved by vaccination had they not been put off by people repeating hearsay about the 'dangers'? Individuals and the media that perpetuate this myth that vaccines are more dangerous than the thing they prevent have got blood on their hands. Anyone her...

I never understood the outrage about the red bull liveried aircraft, if that's the only way to keep them flying then so what, unless you are going to stump up the cash you don't really have a say. You couldn't understand that some people had the opinion that they looked utter sh!te and have the per...

It's the same rubbish that comes out everytime some rich person buys a dilapidated castle or something and turns it into a hotel. People simply don't understand that if the only way to preserve something is to make money out of it then that is better than it being lost forever. I never understood th...

As a train enthusiast I know the importance of preserving examples of things in their correct liveries but there are so many diverse examples and only a few can be retained As someone that loves trains (not an enthusiast) I much preferred Flying Scotsman in its incorrect LNER livery than when I saw...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

I still think it's simplistic to suggest that the UK is the only country getting it wrong because all the big countries in Europe are having the same problem of infections, hospital admissions and deaths rising. I would also be really interested in how the populations of other counties view the qua...

With regards to the argument that cancer patients are missing treatments. There would be no cancer treatments if the hospitals are full of Covid patients and all the staff have Covid. I could be wrong, but I'm sure cancer treatment in general does not happen in the same places with the same doctors...

Is there anything else at the Manston fire dump worth saving at all? My parenti-in-laws live just around the corner. Yes, plenty. Tornado F.3, Buccaneer, a couple of Harriers, Nimrod, Jaguar and a few helicopters too- unsure of the exact types of those though. Its crazy, I've driven past there so m...

Obviously not the only air show in Europe this year, as Old Warden, Guernsey, Kauhava and Vesivehmaa will testify... indeed, with the OW DH Show on Sunday, it wasn’t even the only air display of the weekend! But the organisers deserved better luck with the weather having jumped all the hurdles to g...

There were different messages from the car park stewards too, some saying to stay in the car until half 9 others saying to go and queue straight away when we got in the car park just after 9. The rain has held off in the main since just after 10 (hopefully it stays that way!) the site seems very well set up, with boxes for those with normal admission tickets to sit in and three rows of tables for those with the premiere tickets, all socially distanced. The other thing I see is if some random person phones you and tells you to isolate for two weeks, then would you? Especially if it meant losing two weeks wages for what could be no reason at all . If you could get a test to find out then I am sure more people would take notice. And that right there...
