Re: Social Distance Spotting
[ Currently posting photos taken away from home is banned, Since when ?. I've seen plenty of pictures taken while on lockdown and posted to other social media outlets, no one seem to know about this and the police haven't taken any action. Yes, the shocking arrogance of some "outlets" like BigJetTV...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
The “problem” is that 5G uses a broad spectrum of bandwidth, including Microwaves. Anyway those 5G conspiracy nutters are missing a trick. Instead of setting fire to 5G masts they should be catching seagulls and rats and cooking them in the microwaves they are so scared of, in microwave ovens. Then...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
Worldwide panic created by nothing more then the media and yes sadly the hysteria will probably lead to the cancellation of lots of summer events, including airshows... Total WORLDWIDE Coronavirus deaths = approx. 3,000 UK winter flu deaths every winter = approx. 8,000 WORLD - Get a grip and STOP Pa...

Or maybe they are driving an automatic. Indeed. I drive an automatic and and I sit with my foot on the brake when stopped at lights. There's not much choice really. Forgive my ignorance but do automatics not have a handbrake for stationary use ? Eh? Not much choice really For the last 3 years I hav...

Re: Trees or aircraft?
Trees all the way. What seems to be getting lost with these "replacement trees", is the shear number of years they take to mature (even if they treated with care). If you are chopping down 300 mature trees that are all over 100 years old, it will take another 30,000 (that's thirty-thousand...

Re: Windows 7 - R.I.P.
All of these XP were thrown out at my site a couple of years ago in order to comply with W7 requirements. A couple of years ago!? Windows 10 is nearly five years old, and a couple of years ago Windoed 7 was nearly a decade old! The waste there is because whoever looks after your systems doesn't bot...

How about the next programme be - Can the media go green ?? Many times a major story breaks, and the media all rush to cover it. I've no problem with that. However. How about using the local crews to cover it ? Major news item in Northern Ireland. BBC sends a name from the news room to cover it. Us...

Re: German Typhoons beat USAF F-35s in WVR combat
As others have implied, the F-35 is a high wing loading, high induced drag airframe so if you get in a 1 vs 1 turning fight, it's going to have a hard time, that's physics. But... multiple aircraft, data fusion and off boresight air-to-air missiles? The days of Baron von Richthofen are long gone. N...

Thanks!

I'm led to believe the U-2s are the start of the permanent stationing at Fairford.. Where does this info come from? Not heard that U2s will be permanently stationed there. Various FC posts. Many suggested that this was the beginning of the detachment but, that's obviously not correct, my apologies....

And all those important documents are pdf’d onto a portable hard drive. Same if its the end of society as we know it, documents on a hard drive are no goo...
