Thanks for posting those great shots.
They have decided that the Bolingbroke, will not be a flyer from what I've heard.

Re: Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group
Great to see such positive progress on both RB396 as well as JP843 in British Columbia. The Typhoon Legacy YouTube channel along with their website outlines the huge amounts of engineering data they have compiled and processed. Ready to machine materials that they have already acquired. It is also e...

Re: Canadian Typhoon project moving along nicely - can you help?
Ian and the team have been doing some very impressive work. It is great to see the cooperative efforts made by this team, along with the team restoring Tempest II MW376, in Kelowna B.C. Sharing of information and engineering efforts make so much sense with projects like this. The Typhoon Legacy YouT...

Re: Canadian Hawker Typhoon
Ian! Thanks for posting those photos of your amazing progress. I really enjoy your YouTube channel, usually watching multiple times. Great stuff. I was glad to see the collaboration with the KFC Tempest team. Cooperation makes so much sense for everyone. I was able to see the Tempest last February. ...

Re: The People’s Mosquito
I feel that people commission aircraft restorations, get them judged for all relevant accolades then park them for the same reasons people buy art or property. It is somewhere to store wealth that will, in all likelihood, appreciate.

Without even asking!
Neville Wheeldon put up his latest YouTube video. Shows the newly acquired Bolingbroke.
Some interesting action for sure.

Re: Just Jane news
Lots of interesting stuff going on at East Kirkby. Good for them! I watch Neville Wheeldon on YouTube. He posts a video about once a week or so. He'd probably reply in the comments section to a request to show these other projects. The Bolingbroke has far to few examples on display, considering the ...

Re: Flying Sea Harriers for sale
A dear departed friend of mine was a bomb aimer / navigator on Lockheed Hudsons during 1940 /41. He said that they "used to do skip bombing against ships two years before the Americans invented it!" He also liked to take the pi$$ by saying that the B-17 was a real good four engined medium ...

Thanks for the info Mark.
As you know, it's hard to keep a good Tiger Moth down.
I'll keep you posted as the rebuild progresses.

Re: Tiger Moth from Ireland mid 1980's.
Hi folks. I-JJOY has entered our shop for rebuild in Grand Valley Ontario, Canada. Work has only just begun and she has not yet been given a Canadian registration. Her owner (son of the previous owner) wants her to look just as she did when his dad last flew her. She will emerge from our shop in top...

Another great update.
I find that a disproportionate number of aircraft technicians are left handed. (I'm not).
I'd be interested to find a statistic. It is quite uncanny and often useful!
Thanks as always.

Happy to have found out this thread lives on! I have not been spending much time looking at the former forum. I'll be watching this spot regularly for sure. A small suggestion. When it comes to award acceptance, that job should probably fall to Eloise! It'll make for much better press. Best to all. ...
