Re: Duxford Diary 2020
Such a shame the B25 was wasted like that and came to the state it's in now. Imagine if it had gone (at this point and state when with Aces High) to Elvington or Newark as they are now. They would have really done something with it and kept it in good order. It was a real looker when it was at South...

Re: Duxford Storm Damage
Maybe the Architects responsible need to consult the design criteria for the 1918 Belfast Trust Hangars built out of brick and wood. They seem to have stood the test of time for 102 years unlike the hi-tech/modern thinking and now repaired/improved AirSpace design...

I posted this in the Historic section on Friday, perhaps the Mods need to combine?

Pete Sheppard RN
It is with great sadness that I post to record the death yesterday of renowned Royal Navy Pilot, Lieutenant Commander Peter Sheppard AFC Royal Navy, following a long illness. He was 87. Pete Sheppard will forever be associated with his partnership with the Royal Navy Historic Flight Sea Fury FB11 TF...

Re: Duxford Diary 2020
It is great to see these Spitfires back airworthy so quickly. This is the only spitfire which has it's original engine still fitted to her in the world that was fitted in the factory. Peter Teichman’s PRXI has its original engine fitted. Sorry to be a spoiler but MV154 had its RR Merlin replaced wh...

Re: Some Dead Harriers ~Culdrose/Predannack/Yeovilton 2006
Nice shots Brian. I think 50% of the time I've been there it's been misty. The nearby "Earth Station" at Goonhilly is really worth a visit when it's like this as the radar dishes look incredibly surreal looming out of the clag. Those Harriers will be ripe for preservation in the future and...

Re: Where did all the Marham Tornadoes go?
Thanks for the replies. Great to know my old base at RAF Honington now has a few aircraft back there again. I can't believe the Bucc is still on the gate as it was not in great shape back in the 1980's!

Where did all the Marham Tornadoes go?
Going back to the Tornado FINale at Marham earlier in the year, there were lots of rumours going around as to the final destinations for some of the aeroplanes. With the RTP programme having already finished at Leeming and no ferry flights occuring where have these final Marham airframes gone? Stori...

Re: Duxford Diary 2019
Hello all, another migrant from the "other site". I was wondering, does anyone know which Spit is sat with it's wings in front of it next to ARCo's hangar? You can just see it in DCW's 9th December post, last image? That's the Mk. V replica awaiting assembly and painting. Only ident so fa...

Great to see so many familiar names popping up from the other side. What a fiasco! Looking forward to the updates and usual high quality photography from the DX Snaparazzi.
