Nice build Derek, worth persevering with!
Worth remembering that the B45 was also an RAF type for a short time, a small number were painted in RAF colours and flown by RAF crews for Operation Jiu Jitsu.

Re: Duxford Diary 2020
Mike,
The green/brown camo on the Spit would be accurate for a Mk.V Spit in early 1941, the sky spinner and tail band are post-BofB.
I do agree, though, that it would be nice to see her one day in the green/grey scheme she rolled out of the factory in.

Great shots Brian, looking forward to more.
The Xmas lights have certainly brightened things up, even Oxford Street has been badly hit by the pandemic and several premises have been vacant for months.

Fantastic pictures Patrik!
Very surprised to see a formation shot with Vampire and An-2, possibly a world first??
Thank you for sharing these.

Re: 48 Hours Photo Competition - Two of the same but different
According to the BBMF's official souvenir guide, ZA947 was in reality numbered 661 with the RCAF and served with them for a number of years. She then came to Europe post-war, still with the RCAF, but at some point was absorbed into the UK military and somehow became KG661. The real KG661 was written...

Cracking vid and impressive tech! Do you have any problems feeling a bit queezy while flying it??
Out of interest, where was this filmed?

There I was looking forward to a Hellcat...
Just kidding, great build of the F-5F and great finish to the paint too. Looks very realistic. I hope you get the chance to present it in person.
What was so wrong with the Su-22?

UK preservation is full of valiant efforts like this, it's a great shame if she really is going to be cut up.

It appears that the rear fuselage section in the sand & spinach pic is a replacement in the Blue or Blue Grey, interesting mash-up scheme for any modellers.

A couple of links below to some figures that should be pretty close to what you want. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/PJ481131?result-token=87rhw https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/PJ481115?result-token=87rhw Those were just on a quick search, you might be able to find something even more fitting...

The quote about transporting the fuselage as one piece sounds a bit odd and optimistic. When she was last transported it was cut into top and bottom halves to make it roadable.

Great to see those elevators moving, another milestone.

Nice one Derek, great build of a rare kit and like Ian said those props look great. What was the technique? Also, what did you use for the rigging wires?
Tackling the slightly nasty SMER Fokker Dr.1 in 1.44 scale (yes, 1.44 not 1.48 or 1/144!) at the moment and could do with the advice.

Great to see, those ships are really well done and nicely mounted too. The finish on the Black Pearl is ace, did you use a wash of some kind?
Used to enjoy the old Airfix 1/600 kits but haven't done one for ages, I should give it another go.

Thanks for the info, I wondered if that was the Revell Mosquito but then thought "Can't be, it's too good". :D Well done mate. That Spit is very convincing, never built that kit but looks like I'll have to buy one... Yes please to your other stuff, I'm pretty sure most of us "dabble&q...
